EXTERNAL SEMINAR ON FINANCE AND BANKING BY DR. LIANG PRISCILLA

On the afternoon of March 29, 2022, the Faculty of Finance and the Faculty of Banking organized a seminar presented by Dr. Liang Priscilla - a Fulbright Scholar and lecturer at California State University - Channel Island (USA). The specialized session aimed to exchange and share knowledge with lecturers and students to supplement and update new insights in the field of finance and banking.

During the discussion session, Dr. Liang Priscilla shared various topics including: Comparative research on Vietnam's financial system (China, ASEAN, USA...), Fintech development in Vietnam, The story of a local Fintech company, Effectiveness in supporting economic growth, CEIC database, Significant financial divergence between the USA and China during and after Covid-19, The importance of Vietnam and other ASEAN countries in the global economy...

After listening to the presenter's presentation, lecturers and researchers engaged in lively discussions. Many other issues were analyzed during the seminar, providing valuable information with broad applications in various research fields.

At the end of the session, representatives from the Faculty of Finance and the Faculty of Banking expressed sincere and profound gratitude to Dr. Liang Priscilla. It is hoped that in the near future, the Faculty of Finance and the Faculty of Banking will organize more seminars with her to share useful information, supporting both teaching and research effectively for lecturers and students.
