  • SIGNING COOPERATION WITH LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, DUE STUDENTS HAVE MORE REPUTABLE STUDY ABROAD OPTIONS IN NEW ZEALAND

    Through active exchanges and collaboration efforts, on the afternoon of March 22, the cooperation between the University of Economics - University of Da Nang and Lincoln University (New Zealand) reached an important milestone through a cooperation agreement for student transfer under the 2 + 2 program. Attending the signing ceremony on the partner's side were Professor Hugh Bigsby - Head of the School of Agriculture and Commerce Business and Dr. Goh Tuan Nee - International Program Manager; representing the University of Economics was Associate Professor Thuy Anh Vo - Interim Rector, along with leaders from the Training Departments, Student Affairs Office, International Cooperation & Science Office, Inspection and Legal Affairs Office, as well as representatives from the Faculty of Finance, the Faculty of Banking, and  the Faculty of Marketing.


    According to the cooperation agreement between the two universities, University of Economics students (if they meet the transfer conditions set by the partner) will have the opportunity to participate in the 2 + 2 transfer program at Lincoln University and receive a degree from the partner institution. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students who wish to study abroad in a country with an advanced education system like New Zealand and obtain an international degree. Previously, in October 2022, Lincoln University also collaborated to organize an introduction session about the university as well as scholarships and study opportunities in New Zealand for University of Economics students. The information session was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere and was well received by a large number of students from the university.

    Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Thuy Anh Vo stated that the cooperation agreement marks the beginning of many cooperative activities between the two universities in the coming time. The University of Economics hopes to have more students choose New Zealand and Lincoln University as a place to study, experience, and enhance their qualifications, thereby promoting the development of the cooperative relationship between the two institutions. Activities such as faculty exchanges, cooperation in scientific research, joint organization of international scientific conferences, and sharing research data will be actively discussed by both parties.


    Professor Hugh Bigsby expressed that it is an honor for Lincoln University to officially collaborate with one of the prestigious training and research institutions in Vietnam. Through the agreement, Lincoln University aims to promote internationalization of education, cultural exchange between Vietnam and New Zealand, and create more study abroad opportunities for University of Economics students. Students trained at Lincoln University can return to Vietnam to contribute to the local economic and social development or access global employment opportunities with an international degree. Professor Hugh Bigsby also hopes that Lincoln University students in the future will have the opportunity to experience education and culture in Vietnam through the cooperative orientations of both parties.

    Representatives from both universities expressed their joy at the signed cooperation agreement and agreed to continue active exchanges and collaboration to specify the cooperation terms. The cooperation agreement has built trust and a foundation for University of Economics – The University of Da Nang and Lincoln University to develop and elevate their cooperative relationship in the future.
