Seminar: "The power of news: the real cost of Brexit" and "Synchronicity and earnings informativeness in African markets"

In the framework of the Lecture Exchange Program between DUE and Heriot-Watt University sponsored by Erasmus+ Project, on April 23 at the research department of the University of Economics, a seminar was held. Topics about accounting and finance were presented by lecturers from Heriot-Watt University. The seminar received the attention and attendance of many lecturers in the school, especially lecturers from the Faculty of Finance and the Faculty of Accounting.

Scientific topics were presented on topics such as "The power of news: the real cost of Brexit" by Ms. Andrea Eross (Heriot-Watt University) and research on "Synchronicity and Earnings Informativeness in African Markets" presented by Mr. John Edward (Heriot-Watt University).

 During the seminar, teachers from the UK shared many practical knowledge and ideas in the research, and answered questions related to the topic from lecturers.

The seminar is also an opportunity for lecturers from Faculty of Finance and Faculty of Accounting to form research directions as well as connections for the scientific research in the future.
