The student conference on scientific research in 2017 - 2018: Leading the 4.0 technology revolution

In order to encourage the activities of scientific research and explore new knowledge of students, on June 13, the University of Economics - The University of Da Nang organized the 2017 Student Scientific Research Conference. - 2018. The Conference was attended by representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, representatives of the University of Danang, leaders of the member Universities. On the side of the University of Economics, there was Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of the University, leaders of faculties, departments, and centers with lecturers and students participating in scientific research at this year's Conference.

 

Opening remarks, Assoc. Prof . Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that the Student Science Research Conference is an annual activity for the University's students to build their analysis and information processing skills in scientific research, contributing to the overall development of the University. The enhancement of scientific research among students is also an effective method to increase training efficiency, associate theory with future business practices of learners, thereby building a luggage of knowledge and skills.

At the Student Conference on Scientific Research Student at the faculty level from May 5 to May 23, 2018, the University received 163 applications for Faculties and 82 projects to be implemented, including 62 projects in the high-quality training system. Based on the evaluation of the Scientific Council at the grassroots level, 20 excellent projects of 12 Faculties were nominated to participate in the Conference at the school level. On behalf of the organizers, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh sent her congratulations to the students participating in this year's scientific research conference, and at the same time wished they would continue to promote the creativity and talent of youth, continue to build public quality scientific research.

   

 

 

The Organizing Committee has set up 5 subcommittees to evaluate scientific research projects in the fields of: Accounting & Finance; Marketing & International Business; Administration, Statistics & E-commerce; Law & State Administration; Economy & General. The outstanding topics of this year focus on solutions and applications to catch the explosion of the industrial revolution 4.0 such as: Research on factors influencing the intention of mobile payments (Mobile Payment) of Client - Application case for payment service MOMO (student group Vo Thi My Hay, Vo Thi Kim Thu, Tran Viet Duy, Ngo Van Hoang, Nguyen Thi Nhung), Effect of intimacy (Intimacy) and trust in the stickiness of users on social networks - Practical research on social networks Facebook (student group Le Nguyen Hong Co, Nguyen Thi Thien, Huynh Hai Dang, Le Luong Gia Huy, Nguyen Phuong Thao), Study on the impact of initial belief on the adoption of mobile payments: Case study in Da Nang city (student Tao Thi Kieu My), Application solutions Using Chatbot technology to support learning advice for students (group of students Tran Thien Quoc Tong, Pham Phuong Loan, Trinh Dinh Phuong, Nguyen Thi Cam Van) ... Besides, the Research topics on specialized fields associated with business practices are highly appreciated by the Scientific Council such as: Does foreign ownership increase return volatility? Evidence from Vietnam (student Le Thuy Trang), The impact of corporate governance on financial reporting quality in Vietnam (student group Luu Nguyen Truong Trung, Nguyen Tuan Dung, Thai Manh Kha), Cooperation upstream of the supply chain - Tinh cases in enterprises in Da Nang city (student group Nguyen Thuy Hang, Vo Thi Kim Chi, Pham Thi Thuy Vy) ...

Các đề tài giành giải Nhất tại Hội nghị sinh viên nghiên cứu khoa học năm học 2017 - 2018

 

 

The topics have attracted attention, heated debate, criticism, and frank exchanges between research groups with the jury in order to clarify the research content of the topic. The teachers in the Council also evaluated the topic impartially and objectively, and at the same time gave advice to improve the quality and effectiveness of the topic. 

After a working day, with the spirit of science, objectivity and responsibility of the Critics Council, the Conference of Scientific Research Students in the academic year 2017-2018 honored 05 projects with first prize, 05 winning subjects Second prizes and 06 subjects won third prizes. Faculty of Finance excellently received 1 First Prize for the topic "Influence of liquidity on stock price informativeness of listed companies in Vietnam stock market" by student Le Nguyen Phuong Tram, and 1 second prize for the topic "Does foreign ownership increase return volatility? Evidence from Vietnam" by Le Thuy Trang student. Both topics are guided by Dr. Dang Tung Lam.
