Workshop: data analysis with STATA software

With the aim of improving analytical planning capabilities, improving data editing and processing skills, proficiency in calculating basic statistical indicators, extracting and presenting, and interpreting statistical results For lecturers and to support students in the process of implementing scientific research, on April 14, the University of Economics held a Workshop: Data Analysis with STATA. A large number of lecturers, graduate students and students from the Faculty of Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration attended the workshop.

At the Workshop, Dr. Dang Huu Man - Deputy Head of Science and International Cooperation Department, Lecturer of Finance Faculty, gave a general introduction to STATA software and its utility in synthesizing and analyzing data systems. This is a data analysis tool used by researchers and academic organizations around the world.

In addition, lecturers, graduate students and students also receive specific instructions on data management in STATA, descriptive statistics in STATA and practice of data analysis on this software. The workshop equipped with data editing and processing skills using STATA software, using STATA as an effective tool in the implementation of scientific research projects of faculty, researchers, and students. School staff.  

The session was quite exciting, students somewhat grasped the basic skills in processing, analyzing investigation data, how to extract and exploit data sets and basic use of STATA in quantitative research. The workshop not only gives learners the basic theories but also has the interaction between learners and teachers through highly practical exercises. The workshop received very positive feedback from the learners. The organization of courses, scientific seminars is one of the priority activities of the University of Economics in the coming time to improve the quality of research of the University.
