Ceremony of Vietnamese teacher's day: The 45-year journey of construction and development of the University of Economics

In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating 45 years of the establishment of the University of Economics - University of Da Nang (1975 - 2020) and Vietnam Teachers' Day, on the morning of November 20, the University of Economics solemnly held the Ceremony celebrating Vietnam Teachers' Day and commend the school year 2019 - 2020. The honorable ceremony was attended by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Director of the University of Da Nang, leading representatives of political organizations society, offices, functional departments of the University of Danang. On the side of the University of Economics, there were the school board, leaders of the Faculties, Departments and Centers under the University, along with generations of former teachers, alumni and staff, lecturers, and students.  In his welcome speech, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, together with generations of former teachers, reviewed the 45-year journey of construction and development of the University of Economics. Established in July 1975, the University of Economics was formerly the Faculty of Economics under the University of Danang with 2 majors of training. In the early days, the University was just an affiliated faculty with less than 20 staff and lecturers, each year only enrolling more than 100 university students with teaching facilities facing many difficulties. By 2004, the University of Economics and Business Administration has officially renamed the University of Economics under the University of Danang and has grown strongly to this day. On behalf of the University's cadres, lecturers, and students, Assoc. Prof Nguyen Manh Toan gave his deepest gratitude to teachers through the ages. The "sweet fruits" that today's generation has received are the great contributions of generations of leaders who have joined hands to build a University of Economics, University of Da Nang. The continuation of the tradition of leadership generations through the ages has become more and more glorious over the history page of the school. Facing the new opportunities, the University's collective unites, step by step to overcome challenges to continue writing "golden pages" in the development and growth of the University of Economics - The University of Danang.

This year's anniversary has added pride when personally Assoc. Prof Nguyen Manh Toan and the Training Department were honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President; 1 individual and 1 group received the Certificate of Merit from the President.

At the ceremony, under the authorization of the Minister of Education and Training, the leaders of the University of Da Nang awarded the Ministry-level Emulation Flag to the University of Economics and 2 units directly under the University; Certificate of Merit granted to 2 individuals; Medal for the cause of education for 3 individuals; Merit from the Ministry of Education & Training for 4 units and 6 individuals.

To recognize the contributions of individuals and units of the University, University of Danang also awarded certificates of merit to 18 individuals and 6 units.
