Recently, Mr. Van Cong Vu - Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union, was honored to receive the "March 26th Award" from the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Youth Union. This award aims to commend outstanding youth union officials for their excellent achievements in studying, working, and youth union activities.

The efforts and contributions of Mr. Van Cong Vu - Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union have not only benefited the university's youth union but also inspired other young members in the community. Particularly, Mr. Van Cong Vu has demonstrated creativity and innovation through various initiatives, such as serving as the Head of the Organization Committee of the largest volunteer project at the University of Economics: the "Flight 71" volunteer project. This project is dedicated to students with difficult circumstances studying at the University of Economics. During the organization and operation of the project, he established an Organizing Committee and a Collaborative Team to carry out the project throughout 2023, with specific activities including:

-         Gift-giving: Surprise gift-giving activities based on the reality TV program "Saturday's Wish," turning students' dreams into reality through unexpected gift-giving events.

-         Fundraising activities: "Youthful Memories" photo booth, "Lucky Handover - Filled with Love," Mini Game "Mysterious Journey," Fundraising Concert "Dream on – Dreamers."

-         Results of the Project in 2023:

+       Awarding scholarships worth over 60 million VND in cash, 01 motorcycle, and 20 English and Chinese language scholarships to 10 students of the University of Economics.

+       Providing 06 bus tickets for students with difficult circumstances to return home for the Lunar New Year.

With these initiatives, the "Flight 71" volunteer project has spread the humanitarian spirit in life, demonstrating students' care for each other in the academic environment, and fostering positive values in society.

Furthermore, Comrade Van Cong Vu also directly guided the academic activities of Comrade Cao Luu Quang Vu, who ranked in the top 10 Nationwide Olympic Competition in Marxist-Leninist Sciences and Ho Chi Minh Thought "Light illuminating the way" in 2023. He also chose and established a team, and advised the team to participate in the Olympic Competition in 2023 at the City level, winning 01 Second Prize and 01 Encouragement Prize. Additionally, he was directly responsible for the University Youth Union's website, posting 52 articles defending the Party's ideological foundation and showcasing exemplary individuals and actions.

Once again, congratulations to Mr. Van Cong Vu - Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union, for his commendable achievements and contributions to the development of the student community and youth movement.
