Youth is devoted to the Union

Started participating in Union work in her high school years with the position of Secretary of the class's Union. At first, Bich did it just for the trust of people, but the more she joined the Youth Union, the more emotionally attached she became.

“Participating in Union activities is extremely fun, for me it is the most comfortable moment after stressful school hours. There, I met many good people, the more I worked, the closer I became as a family,” shared Bich.

The field in which Bich participates most actively is volunteering activities. She used to be the deputy head of the organizing committee of the Green University DUE project, an environmental project under the University of Economics, aiming to build awareness and maintain a green lifestyle for people through small actions. “We cooperate with businesses to organize green fairs at the school, garbage collection activities, tree planting activities at schools, a green action everyday contest, etc.”, Bich shared.

Another volunteer project that this union member is also very enthusiastic about and holds the position of Deputy Head is Flight 71, a volunteer project that gives wings to the dreams of disadvantaged students of the school. In addition, Bich also participates in activities such as Volunteer Spring, Green Summer Campaign, etc.

For Bich, participating in Union work is not only a place to help her find positive energy, but it is also an environment that helps Bich learn many things and become more mature day by day.

“Participating in the Union's activities has made me more open-minded. Before, I just wanted to work alone, but since joining Union activities, I like to work in groups and pay more attention to people around me. At the same time, I also learned many things from the former students, both in work and in life," Bich confided.

Outstanding academic achievement

Not only is she an active union member, but Thanh Bich is also an excellent student of the faculty. Despite holding many positions, and being busy with volunteering activities and Union - Association work, this union member still has very respectable academic achievements. Bich was awarded a certificate of merit by the Rector of the University of Economics (Da Nang University) for her high achievements in study and training.

Born in a not-so-well-off family, her parents worked hard to support 6 siblings, so Thanh Bich was always aware of having to work hard in her studies. For 5/6 semesters, Thanh Bich achieved an absolute average of 4.00/4.00. With that excellent achievement, every semester Bich also won scholarships to encourage study from the school and many other scholarships awarded by businesses.

Sharing her secret of study, Bich said: “For me, success mostly comes from perseverance and daily effort. To start doing something, I always set a clear goal and do my best to complete it. In each semester, I will set specific goals for each subject and focus on acquiring knowledge right in class, where I don't understand, I ask right away, thus saving time studying at home."

Currently, in addition to studying and participating in Union work, this girl also spends time as a tutor. Being predestined with tutoring work since high school, this part-time job not only helps Bich satisfy her desire to impart knowledge but also provides an income source for Bich to support her own life, less dependent on her parents.

With those efforts, Bich always received the love of everyone. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thao, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Economics (Da Nang University), shared: “Thanh Bich has shown to be an energetic, enthusiastic, and responsible Youth Union officer. Besides, Bich is also a student with excellent academic results. It can be said that Thanh Bich's achievements are very proud and worthy of Bich's efforts. This girl is a shining example in learning and Union work for the next generations of Union officials of the school."

Thanks to her relentless efforts, during the four years of studying at Bich University, many achievements were achieved. Being a "Student of 5 Goods" at the school level, the University of Danang level, and the city level for many years. Received a certificate of merit from the President of the University of Danang; a Certificate of Merit from the Delegation of the University of Danang and the Delegation of the University of Economics for outstanding achievements in the Union work and student movement.
