Two young lecturers from the University of Economics received recognition of “Outstanding Young Teachers” in 2020

As the leaders of the dynamic Youth Union and full of enthusiasm in the delegation, 2 young lecturers of the University of Economics, UD have received the title of “Outstanding young teacher” in 2020.

Master Le Dinh Quang Phuc - Lecturer of Law Faculty, University of Economics, UD; Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Da Nang received the title of Outstanding Young Teacher at the Central level in 2020.

With the strength of youth, full of enthusiasm, Le Dinh Quang Phuc always strives to study, research, and teach. While teaching at the Faculty of Law, University of Economics, UD, Quang Phuc together with his colleagues completed the General Law Curriculum and Business Law Curriculum as the content for teaching at school. In addition to teaching, he is also passionate about scientific research. Since then, he has 2 scientific articles published in prestigious international journals and many scientific papers participating in national conferences.

Lecturer Quang Phuc has made great contributions to the teaching and work of the delegation

 Being the former Chairman of the Start-up Club of the University of Economics, UD, Quang Phuc also instructs and guides students in implementing scientific research topics.

 As the Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Da Nang, Mr.Phuc has made remarkable contributions to the Youth Union work. In particular, in Covid-19 volunteering activities, he called for more than 500 volunteers to participate in supporting the functional forces, with medical checks at the gates of the city and more than 80,000 meals. rice; more than 10 tons of rice; 6,388 glasses of milk and beverages; 20,000 masks ..., with a total value of more than 1.5 billion to support students "stuck" in the dormitory and students in difficult circumstances in Da Nang.

With a young, dynamic, friendly smile, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Dat not only left impressions with the students but also a truly brilliant lecturer at the University of Economics, UD, Center of Information and Communication Technology, would like to introduce to you a small interview about this lecturer.

Hi Dat, what are your feelings and thoughts on being awarded the "Typical Young Teacher" in 2020 " at the city level?

 I am delighted to receive the title of "Outstanding Young Teacher" at the city level. This is the result of the process of trying in 2020. This title is also the motivation for me to strive in teaching, researching, and participating in all activities of the school in the coming time.

 Youth Union‘s works always need youthfulness, dynamism, enthusiasm, but it still has some certain difficulties. So, can you tell me about some of the group activities that you most impressed with in the past school year?

 In recent times, the development of the internet and technology has also created certain difficulties for association activities. The gathering of union members and young people has become more difficult because of the attraction of social networks and online entertainment forms. In particular, in the past year, the implementation of association activities in particular and school activities, in general, were also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Youth Union and the Student Union of the University of Economics - University of Da Nang have also carried out many impressive activities. It can be mentioned that together with the university, we held 05 programs to give basic necessities to foreign students who stayed in Da Nang city during 2 social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For learning activities, the Youth Union and Student Union of the school have also actively communicated to mobilize all students to work together to overcome a pandemic with the motto that not going to school does not mean that we should stop studying. During the time affected by the epidemic, the youth of the school has also strongly deployed online activities to create a playground to attract students. During the storms and floods in October and November 2020, the youth of the University of Economics cooperated with the university's trade union to launch a campaign to raise support and help people in the central provinces that were severely affected by storms.

 In addition, the Youth University of Economics has also achieved many achievements in academic competitions, entrepreneurship, arts, and sports at all levels.

 As a result, the delegation of the University of Economics was honored to receive the certificate of merit for the leading delegation in the school year 2019-2020 among delegations of the University of Danang and received a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement of Da Nang city period 2015-2020.

In scientific research, what achievements have you achieved?

 Some of my own outstanding scientific research achievements are the publication of 07 articles on the ISI / Scopus list, of which I was the main author of 04 articles.

 In addition, I am also the author of 4 works published in the journals on the list of the State Council for Professor Title and 03 works published on the proceedings of national and international conferences. .

 Do you have something to share with the current generation of students?

 My advice to you is to always put your learning first. In the era of 4.0, access to information and knowledge on the internet has become easier than ever. However, if you can be proficient in English, the efficiency of accessing the internet will increase significantly. Therefore, students should focus on learning English.

 In addition to accumulating knowledge, you must also accumulate and practice soft skills (such as communication skills, teamwork, time management,...). To be able to acquire these skills, making use of the social life environment at school is essential. My own experience shows that students with achievements in association activities are highly appreciated by employers.
