Stay strong during the pandemic

Witnessing the extremely complicated movements of the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnam and around the world, teachers and students of the University of Economics have actively responded to minimize the impact of the epidemic on the learning process, work and activities of the staff, lecturers and students of the University. Although the second semester of the 2019-2020 school year takes place in the middle of a pandemic, the teaching and learning are still going smoothly and flexibly on the online and direct learning system.

It is predicted that the next wave of the pandemic will return and this war will last longer, as soon as the Government announces a new normal state, the School Board of Economics University has directed all staff in the University. Officials of the campaign have done well in teaching and fostering knowledge for students. The final exams were also conducted quickly, with quality and efficiency. Thus, the second semester of the 2019-2020 school year has been completed on July 19, 2020. In addition, the learning content in the summer semester and activities in the new school year have been planned and implemented step by step.

Essentials sent to students at the dormitory of the University of Economics

Before the outbreak of the epidemic in Da Nang in the last days of July, with the motto of putting the health, safety and comprehensive development of students first, the University only directed the organization of teaching summer semester on Elearning system, ensuring social isolation as well as students' learning process. In addition, faculties, departments, and centers also announce the Government's regulations on disease prevention and have creative and practical activities to control, motivate, encourage and reinforce to all officers, lecturers and students to overcome this difficult time.

Currently, there are still 58 University students (including 8 Lao students) currently living at the University Dormitory, in addition, there are 260 students in the City Dormitory, and many students are living accommodation in Da Nang city. Sharing with the students' difficulties in the dormitory during the time of social isolation, the School's Steering Committee for Disease Control quickly came up with options to support food, finance and other needs of students. Accompanying the School, the Union and the Pickup Association also sent gifts including food and necessities. The spiritual life of the students is also very interested by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Student Union.

Responding to the seriousness of this second Covid season, all staff, lecturers and students of the University of Economics on the one hand remain positive, optimistic and strictly abide by the regulations of social isolation, yet still ensure the professional work and enrollment. Through all these things, the University also wishes to inspire, set an example and spread to students the spirit of the managers and business owners of the new era. Agile, assertive, strategic & effective in standing side by side with family, school and society in order to transform the challenges from Covid-19 into motivation, determination and action for prosperous and sustainable development in the future.
