Achievements
The Department of Research & International Cooperation always strives hard to complete its mission to manage the activities of research and international cooperation assigned by the University. Since 2006, the Department has managed and supported the University’s scientists to successfully implement 04 state-level projects, 55 ministry-level projects, 14 jointing projects, and 95 university-level projects. These approved projects have been highly critically evaluated by scientists, research institutes and businesses in terms of academic quality as well as applicability. Additionally, the Department is also a contact point where the University’s scientists associate with local government departments to implement the local - need research projects.
University of Economics – The University of Danang is a research-oriented higher education institution so the Department of Research and International Cooperation has proposed many recommendations to encourage staff’ research. In particular, the Department advised to compose the authorities related to research activities in the internal financial management regulations at the University, suggested and published 20 issues of Journal of Economic Studies since December 2017; perfecting the management network of scientific backgrounds to track scientific research activities of the University’s lecturers; establishing the website of conference organized and co-organized by the University. As a result, the scientific research activities of lecturers and researchers have been developed to propose, bid and implement the research projects, compose and publish in international journals.
To facilitate scientists in publishing research projects and exchanging academic knowledge, the Department also successfully hosted many scientific conferences, typically organized 18 international conferences and 27 national workshops from 2016. The International Conference on Accounting and Finance is annually organized by the University.
Besides, the activities of students’ scientific research are well - managed and maintained. Every academic year, the number of students implementing scientific research has been increasing. DUE students awarded the First Prize, 02 Second Prizes and 08 Third Prizes at the Conference of “Vietnam Science Talent Award” annually organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, 01 Second Prize at the 11th Eureka Conference of Student Scientific Research in 2017.
Given the achievements, the Department of Research and International Cooperation was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2012 and the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2016 -2017 academic year.
