Career orientation right from freshmen

On the morning of October 29, the University of Economics, the University of Danang in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and KPMG Da Nang Company held a seminar on "Career Orientation with ACCA and KPMG” for freshmen of Faculty of Accounting, Faculty of Finance and Faculty of Banking.

Attending the seminar, on ACCA's side, there was Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau - Head of the External Relations Department, Education and Training Division. On the side of KPMG Vietnam, there were: Ms. Hoang Thi Nga - Human Resources Manager of KPMG Hanoi office, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Long Dien - Senior Head of the Auditing Department, KPMG Da Nang office, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - Head of Department Auditing KPMG Da Nang office, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung - Head of KPMG's human resources team in Ho Chi Minh office. On the side of the University of Economics, there were the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man – Head of Science & International Cooperation Department, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Cong Phuong – Dean of the Faculty of Accounting.

Sending gratitude to the speakers

In the opening speech of the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man emphasized that career orientation and future career determination are one of the top concerns of all students. With the right orientation, each individual will promote his or her abilities and approach the right job. Even though they are freshmen, the right career orientation will help each individual have a suitable study path in the future, and have the mindset and ability to define a career scope, thereby making suitable choices.

The speakers' sharing was beneficial information for new students

At the seminar, the speakers shared knowledge and gave the necessary skills for the future career development path. With the sharing of the guests, new students had a clearer understanding of their careers in the future and planned to build a suitable roadmap to achieve the goals set out in 04 years in university. In addition, students also raise awareness about equipping themselves with "soft skills" or "working skills", foreign languages, and importantly, grasping and updating information that is increasingly diverse in the field of technology.
