Improving elearning skills and understanding policies for young lecturers

Implementing Resolution 29-NQ / TW of the Party Central Committee (Session XI) on "Basic and comprehensive renovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of market economy" socialist orientation and international integration ”; implemented the key program of the University Union of Danang and the School Union in the school year 2019-2020, on the afternoon of October 22, the Trade Union of the University of Economics – The university of Danang organized a seminar on "Enhancing the skills of using Elearning in teaching and understanding policies  for young lecturers. The seminar consisted of two presentations by two speakers. : Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem - Library Director and Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Thu – President of Trade Union with the attendance of members The School Union Executive Committee and 30 young lecturers from the faculties.

Opening the seminar, MSc. Nguyen Van Long - Vice Chairman of School Union emphasized that improving the understanding of teaching methods and policies, policies of lecturers, especially young lecturers, is an important task of the School Union. Through the seminar, the University's Union asked the young lecturers to constantly learn and research to create new and modern teaching methods, in addition to applying information technology in the era of technology 4.0. , contributing to improving the quality of teaching and research.

At the first session, Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Thanh Liem with her experiences and researches in applying E-learning tool had a lot of useful sharing for young lecturers. According to speakers, E-learning is increasingly favored because of the flexibility and convenience of time and place. It helps to solve many difficult problems when learners can study anytime anywhere, in the office, at home or any convenient location. As one of the first universities to apply Elearning in teaching, the University of Economics has been effectively deploying into the subjects, receiving the support of both learners and lecturers.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem shared more about the method of building, organizing and designing electronic lectures on Elearning ... Young lecturers also exchanged experiences in teaching and presented difficulties for both teachers and learners.

The second session of the seminar, PhD. Nguyen Thi Bich Thu reported lecturers' policies on support for teaching, scientific research, salary, allowances, benefits as well as support for officials and lecturers who have difficulties. MSc. Nguyen Van Long also set out the criteria for young lecturers to strive for promotion to the title of main lecturer in the future.

The seminar really provided useful knowledge about using E-learning tools and policies for young lecturers. More importantly, through this seminar, young lecturers have been raised awareness about the importance of improving teaching methods, adding motivation for scientific research and increasing quality in professional activities.
