Summary of research activities of science & international cooperation 2017 - 2018: Many highlights from DUE science community

On 09/01/2019, a conference to summarize international scientific research and cooperation activities took place in the 2017-2018 and the orientation for the school year of 2018 - 2019. Assoc.Prof Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Principal of the school chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of Faculties, Divisions and Centers of University.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of Science & International Cooperation presents a report summarizing the activities of scientific research and international cooperation in 2017 - 2018 of the University of Economics –The University of Danang. In scientific research activities, lecturers of the school have basically completed the scientific research hours according to the set targets, in which the Business Administration and Marketing faculties have the highest percentage of lecturers completing the scientific research hours. Besides, the school also successfully bid and implemented 42 projects, including 3 state-level projects, 8 ministerial-level projects and 4 local-level projects, far exceeding the targets. The 2017 - 2018 academic year also witnessed the expansion of international publications in international and domestic scientific journals, in particular, DUE scientists have 34 international publications and 107 scientific journals, participating in 47 topics at international conferences. That achievement of DUE scientists was honored by Da Nang City People's Committee at the Ceremony to reward individuals with outstanding achievements in technology activities in 2018.

The University of Economics also co-organized many prestigious international conferences with DUE brand names such as: International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF), Marketing Seminar in connection era (MICA), Association International Workshop on Finance in Vietnam (VICIF) ... thereby creating a forum for knowledge exchange for scientists and empowering the University. Scientific research activities of students are also focused and promoted with 143 topics registered, 80 topics presented at the Scientific Research Student Conference, 28 subjects participating in Student Conference scientific research at school level.

In 2018, the school also strives to expand the network of international partners to strengthen cooperation and connect more prestigious study abroad addresses for students. The University of Economics has also signed an international Bachelor degree training program with Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) and started enrollment from the 2018 - 2019 school year, in addition to the transition cooperation agreements with many partners across the globe. International cooperation projects such as VIBE, Eramus +, Logistics ... also brought many foreign exchange scholarships and workshops, seminars, skills training courses for teachers and students of the University.

At the conference, scientists also exchanged, discussed, proposed solutions to solve problems and difficulties in scientific research and international cooperation. Conclusion at the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh also suggested units to promote activities of TRT groups, enhance research activities of lecturers and improve the application of information technology in the construction of scientific databases and declaration of annual scientific research time. Regarding international cooperation, the school will also focus on communication of transition programs, student exchanges, continue to expand the network of international partners and seek more scholarships for students and teachers to study abroad through sponsored projects.
Leaders of units also conducted voting through the criteria of international scientific research and cooperation in the school year 2018 - 2019 of the University of Economics. The most unanimous conference is determined to complete and exceed the set targets, striving to improve the school to become the leading research university in the Central Region - Central Highlands and the whole country.
