A recall of Green Summer 2017: The journey of golden hearts

Youth Summer Volunteer Campaign 2017 - Green Volunteer Campaign organized by the University of Economics - University of Danang in Tam Hai island commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province officially ended with beautiful memories in the heart of the local people, leaving the unforgettable experience in the hearts of young volunteers. Before approaching the new school year, let's look back at the beautiful memories that Youth Union members have made in Tam Hai Island (Quang Nam) to feel the youth, enthusiasm and energy of The UE-UD volunteers.
Starting on July 10th, the campaign took place for two weeks and ended successfully thanks to the enthusiasm of the committee volunteers. The Core Team has completed the "works" on schedule and successfully completed some of the work arising in the local as:
Tree planting activities at Graveyard Martyrs Cemetery
Construction of an amusement park in Tan Lap village
The team's activity was completed quickly in two weeks thanks to the efforts of the volunteers in the team and the enthusiastic help of people on the island.
While the Core Team received the enthusiasm of the people, the Communal Team has attracted 150 children to participate in the Summer Activities. Combined with outdoor activities and subjects on the cirriculum, this team introduced English to students from grade 1 to grade 9. Hopefully this small action of the Dan van team will influence the Commune's educational program: to promote the development of English for children in order to increase the capacity for international integration.
In addition, the Green Summer 2017 campaign continued to demonstrate the strengths of DUE students through two projects completed by the Economic Development and Tourism Development teams. After completing the projects, these two teams had a meeting with the local leaders and Le Dinh Quang Phuc on behalf of the Committee also transferred two projects to the local governmental representatives.
Not only that, the IT team and the Youth Skills Team have also exchanged their knowledge with young cadres, students and members of the Commune. Youth Skills Team also established Youth Skills Club in Tam Hai Island Commune. This will also be a "reason" for volunteers to return to visit Tam Hai Island in the near future.
Donating a huge amount of effort to make such a successful campaign is the Logistics Team - the team that specializes in cooking, in charge of healthcare for the whole campaign. Thanks to the Logistics team, the volunteers’ health was ensured to devote themselves to the Campaign.
On 22 July, the closing ceremony was held. In the presence of the Campaign Committee, representatives of commune officials, the ceremony rewarded the volunteers with excellent activities. Thus, the Summer Volunteer Campaign 2017 has ended, marking a long period of being together, working together and completing the Campaign. Back to the lecture hall, back to Da Nang, perhaps each volunteer understands the true meaning of the word "volunteer". Volunteering is not only about bringing the best to the society, but also about learning, going out to experience, meeting many people who still suffer in life. That is exactly what the Green Summer brings ...
