One more Destination to study in UK for the UE-UD's students

From the 8th to 11th of August, delegation of UE-UD, including Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector and Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of the Department of Research and International Cooperation visited and worked in Hong Kong with Middlesex University (UK) - Mr. Karen Wong, Marketing and Recruitment Manager for Asia Pacific, Ms. Kay Yuen and Ms. Eva Dong - International Affairs and Partner Development.

At the meeting, representatives of the two universities agreed to sign an agreement in exchanging students in the field of foreign trade. Accordingly, students of the UE-UD will study the first three years at UE-UD and the last year at Middlesex University to receive a degree from the partner school. Regarding the scholarship mechanism, both sides will work on the reduction of tuition fees and living expenses for international students and will also make steps in finding scholarships for students with outstanding academic achievements.

Another important co-operation agreement was discussed by the two institutions, that aims to develop a framework for several key majors of UE-UD with support from Middlesex University. Especially, the partner university also send faculties to Vietnam to teach and attend workshops and seminars.

On this occasion, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan has sent an invitation to representatives of Middlesex University to attend the 2nd International Education Fair organized by the UE-UD in October 2017. Middlesex University also confirmed their attendance.

The meeting ended in a cheerful, high-united spirit between the two universities. This occasion also considered to be the basis for the both sides in promoting the comprehensive cooperation as well as the opportunity for UE-UD students to study and experience the European prestigious educational institutions in the future.

*University of Middlesex, London is located in Hendon, North West London, UK. Although officially named Middlesex University in 1992, Middlesex University has experienced a long period of development and merger of many colleges in North London, beginning in the late 19th century until 1973. According to the Times magazine, in 2015, Middlesex University ranked No. 2 in the UK for its quality as well as its level of modernity.

Currently, Middlesex University has about 1700 students from EU countries and 1800 students from other countries around the world. Since only a small number of Vietnamese students attending Middlesex University (about 20 students), Vietnamese students will experience a completely diverse cultural background.

Middlesex University has a great advantage in providing lower tuition fee in comparision with other schools in London. Although it is considered one of the largest universities in the UK, students studying at Middlesex University pay a lower tuition fees than other universities. The cost of living in Zone 3 is also lower than in central of London. It only takes about 20 minutes to get from Middlesex to the center of London by metro.
