On the afternoon of June 7, 2024, a delegation from the University of Economics - The University of Danang, led by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the University Council, visited and worked at the National Economics University.

Welcoming the delegation, the representatives from the National Economics University included: Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Prof., Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Rector; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union; along with representatives from various departments, faculties, institutes, centers, and socio-political organizations of both universities.

On behalf of the leadership of the National Economics University, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Duc Tho expressed his joy and welcomed the delegation from the University of Economics - The University of Danang for their visit and working session. He emphasized that, with nearly 70 years of establishment and development, the National Economics University has affirmed its position and strength in the fields of economics, management, and business administration training in Vietnam. "Today, the National Economics University is delighted and welcomes the proposal to visit and learn from the University of Economics - The University of Danang regarding the development of joint training programs, faculty and student exchanges, international accreditation, and the enhancement of scientific research and journal development towards WoS-Scopus standards. In an open and sharing spirit, our university is always ready to exchange and support the University of Economics - The University of Danang to develop together, expand connections, and create more development opportunities in the future," affirmed Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Chairman of the University Council.

In her speech at the working session, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh expressed her gratitude to the leadership of the National Economics University for their enthusiastic support in the cooperative activities between the two universities over the past period.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh affirmed that over the years, the University of Economics - The University of Danang and the National Economics University have developed a good relationship in training and scientific research through jointly organizing many scientific events, co-supervising postgraduate students, and introducing scientists to participate in various research projects. These activities have yielded positive results and created favorable conditions for faculty members of both universities to exchange expertise and enhance research outcomes. The good relationship between the two universities has been further developed to a higher level as both institutions continue to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on teaching and research cooperation with eight universities to form the group of 10 economics and business universities in Vietnam (ICYREB Group). This serves as an important foundation for the successful and effective implementation of short-term student exchanges. Chairwoman Vo Thi Thuy Anh expressed her hope that through this discussion and working session, the University of Economics - The University of Danang would receive valuable insights and support from the National Economics University in training and management, thereby further enhancing the cooperative relationship between the two universities.

Leaders of both institutions exchanging and sharing experiences at the working session

During the working session, the National Economics University shared with the University of Economics - The University of Danang on several topics such as the development of joint training programs, faculty and student exchanges, international accreditation according to ACBSP standards, enhancing the quality of scientific research and journal development towards WoS-Scopus standards, and building a job position project.

The working session took place in a friendly atmosphere with open and frank exchanges from the representatives of both institutions. It is hoped that this working session will open up many cooperative opportunities between the two universities in the future, thereby enhancing collaboration efforts, leveraging the strengths of both institutions, and creating a comprehensive force to promote development and meet domestic and international integration demands.
