On October 17, 2026, students from the University of Economics, The University of Danang, took part in a campaign calling on students to strictly comply with drug prevention and control laws. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation.

The programme aims to raise awareness of and promote compliance with the law, while strengthening the role and responsibility of educational institutions, officials, lecturers, staff and students in drug prevention and control. It also provided an opportunity for students to receive legal information and acquire essential skills to proactively prevent and identify drug-related risks in their studies and daily lives.

At the event, key issues concerning drug prevention and control were addressed through campaign activities, statements of support, and legal education and awareness-raising sessions on drug prevention skills for school and university students. These activities helped strengthen vigilance, encourage self-protection and reinforce students’ responsibility to comply with the law.

DUE students’ participation reflects their support for legal education and awareness-raising initiatives in educational settings, while helping promote the message of building a safe, healthy and drug-free learning environment. Students are encouraged to proactively equip themselves with relevant knowledge, firmly reject drugs, refrain from engaging in or facilitating drug-related offences, and actively share preventive information with their peers and the wider community.

Drug prevention and control are the responsibility of every individual and society as a whole. With a proactive, resilient and responsible approach, DUE students are joining efforts to build a civilised and safe university environment and foster a generation of young people who are healthy, knowledgeable and committed to upholding the rule of law.
