Assoc. Prof. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice-Rector of the university, delivered the welcoming speech

With 78 research papers presented by 100 researchers across 14 parallel sessions, 10 on-site sessions, and 2 online sessions, scholars exchanged ideas, discussed the application of advanced scientific theories to business management practices, ignited entrepreneurial spirit, and proposed solutions for enhancing innovative and creative capabilities and knowledge transfer in the Industry 4.0 era.

Prof. Mario Cools (University of Liège, Belgium) presented at the conference

During the main session, keynote speaker Prof. Mario Cools from the University of Liège, Belgium delivered a presentation titled "Greening the Supply Chain: Underlining the Crucial Role of Customers' Behavior." This topic garnered significant attention and led to dynamic discussions while proposing solutions for 'greening' the supply chain, a critical aspect of green investment strategies aimed at enhancing competitiveness and business efficiency.

Delegates exchanged ideas and discussed during the main discussion session

At the conference, there was a roundtable discussion on the topic "Digital transformation in supply chain & logistics: Fostering fair competition and efficiency", Speakers also focused on discussing solutions to overcome problems, effective practices, and proposed solutions to develop the logistics industry, especially solutions to develop green logistics.

Many new ideas were proposed in parallel discussion sessions

The highlight of this year's conference was the focus on fundamental discussions regarding innovation and the enhancement of business and managerial capabilities in the digital age. The presentation titled "Understanding Smartphone Usage Behavior among Motorcycle Riders Using an Extended Theory of Planned Behavior" highlighted the risk associated with smartphone use while riding (SPWD) motorcycles, especially for individuals who are more prone to accidents. Despite this danger, SPWD has not received adequate attention. To address this gap, the research extended the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by incorporating factors related to motorcycle riding and time pressure, utilizing the Stimulus-Organism-Response theory. The goal was to develop a comprehensive research framework that provides deeper insights into the mechanisms influencing SPWD among motorcycle riders in Vietnam. Analysis of survey results based on 485 valid responses from young drivers in Da Nang showed that time pressure significantly influenced TPB factors related to the intention to use smartphones while driving. Moreover, driving had a positive effect on time pressure. All research hypotheses were supported, reinforcing the value of the research results. These findings serve as an important reference point for future research and have the potential to expand into quantitative studies to experimentally test the proposed relationships in the model.

In addition, speakers exchanged ideas and sought solutions, recommendations, and suggestions to enhance leadership capabilities, and business function management capabilities, such as production, finance, human resources, marketing, supply chain, and logistics, etc. for Vietnamese enterprises in a new business environment, the post-Covid-19 business environment, the business environment with the development of digital technology, increasing environmental concerns, and sustainability. The delegates and guests analyzed opportunities and challenges for human resource management in the context of digital transformation, green human resource management, and the transformation of work forms in post-Covid-19 organizations.
