Conference on safe adaptation to Covid in the University

On the morning of March 2, 2022, the Trade Union of the University of Economics in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Da Nang successfully organized a conference with the theme: "Safe adaptation to Covid in the university". The conference aims to provide staff and lecturers in the university with basic information on safe adaptation to Covid in schools. At the same time, answering questions related to post-Covid issues, treating Covid at home, and stabilizing psychology for staff, lecturers and students. From there, creating a good mood for everyone to adapt more quickly to the return to face-to-face learning.

Attending the conference were Mr. Than Van Chin - Deputy Director of CDC Da Nang, Ms. Ho Thi Tam - Deputy Department of Health Education and Communication at CDC Da Nang, Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Vice President of Trade Union of the University of Economics with comrades in the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union.

The conference attracted a large number of cadres and civil servants to attend

After spending time fighting the epidemic with drastic measures and implementing a vaccination campaign against Covid, the epidemic situation has been gradually brought under control. The Government has determined to change direction to safely and flexibly adapt to the Covid epidemic, gradually reopening activities in the new normal state. The ability to safely adapt to Covid in universities today, Mr. Than Van Chin said: The cleaning and disinfection of classrooms should be carried out regularly, general cleaning of the entire campus. In addition to caring and providing psychological support for students, the school needs to actively propagate to continue educating, raising awareness, strengthening trust, creating peace of mind for staff, lecturers and students to work together to build a safe school environment.

At the conference, the lecturers asked many questions such as: How to use traditional medicine to treat Covid-19 correctly? What do we need to know about the booster shots of the Covid-19 vaccine? Post-Covid problems and how to treat Covid at home effectively? Is the 4th injection necessary?

In response to the questions of lecturers, Mr. Than Van Chin had candid sharing about how to treat Covid at home: We can use the sauna to treat Covid. However, if the steaming process with high temperature will reduce oxygen in the air, and at the same time, a lot of steaming will damage the mucosa and cause mucosal bleeding. Therefore, we can use the sauna method but should not abuse it. It is important for everyone to ensure their health during Covid infection, especially mentally. Post-Covid problems usually appear after 2-3 months, so everyone needs to pay attention and periodically monitor their health.

The Deputy Director of CDC Da Nang also proposed many safe adaptation solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning in epidemic conditions, for the purpose of enhancing teaching and learning. The common goal is to ensure safety, for the benefit of all students.

The conference brought useful information, in order to stabilize the psychology of staff, lecturers, and students to feel more secure in teaching and learning, contributing to efforts to adapt and prevent Covid in the new normal.
