Internal online programme assessment for hotel management industry, financial industry, banking industry according to AUN-QA standard

In 2 days 8/5 and 9/5/2021, The University of Economics - University of Danang held an internal assessment according to AUN-QA standards for 03 training programs: Hotel Management, Finance, Banking. The internal assessment is organized in an online form to ensure safety during the Covid-19 epidemic situation across the country.

Participating in internal assessment process including leading experts with extensive experience in quality assurance. For the Hotel Management training program with the participation of Assoc. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet - Head of Education Quality Assurance Department - University of Danang and Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuc - Head of Education Quality Assurance & Testing Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. Ho Chi Minh – Auditor of AUN-QA; For the Banking and Finance training program, there are Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet and Dr. Le Thi Giao Chi - Education Accreditation Specialist - University of Danang.

Through the online form, the delegation was introduced to the training program of the hotel management industry, the finance industry and the banking industry; worked with the Dean of the Faculty, the Head of the SAR Team, members of the SAR team, and discussed and interviewed online with students, faculty and university support staff.

According to AUN-QA standards, the accreditation team evaluated 3 training programs according to the following criteria: Learning results; training program characteristics; program structure and content; teaching and learning methods; student quality; student assessment; supporting the quality of lecturers; student quality and support; facilities and infrastructure; improving the quality of education; output standard.

At the end of the assessment, the expert delegation made a preliminary assessment of the strengths and proposed some recommendations of the Training Program in Hotel Management, Finance and Banking. From the suggestions and evaluations of the external evaluation team, the University of Economics and the faculties quickly overcome the limitations, and develop directions to maintain and improve the quality of teaching. The implementation of internal assessment through the online form also helps the University of Economics prepare all the best conditions in terms of infrastructure and equipment for the accreditation and quality assessment of the training program according to AUN-QA standards in early September.
