AWARDS FOR OLYMPIC 2018 TEAM AND EUREKA TEAM

In order to encourage the spirit of study and scientific research of students of Statistics - Informatics Department, the Department held award ceremony and warm party to congratulate teachers and students of Olympic 2018 Team and Euresk Scientific Research Team.





The 27th Vietnam Informatics Olympic, combined with the ICPC Asia-Pacific International Student Programming Contest in 2018, has become the focus of more than 800 excellent IT students from nearly 100 universities and colleges across the country and countries in Asia. This is a great event to showcase talents, information technology and communication skills for students in Vietnam.

 

The 2018 Olympic Information Technology team, under the direction of Vu Ha Tuan Anh, lecturer in the Information Technology for Management, Statistics - Informatics Department, has achieved outstanding results:

- The third prize in content of informatics programming of non-specialized program is awarded to Nguyen Manh Dan, class 42K22.

- The onsolation prize in content of informatics programming of non-specialized program is awarded to Tran Thi Chau Giang, class 41K14.


The Eureka Student Scientific Research Prize is a noble prize for students interested in scientific research nationwide, contributing to promoting the scientific research movement of students, held by the City Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City n collaboration with Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. From 903 topics of 2,263 students from 106 universities, colleges and academies in 24 provinces and cities across the country, the Scientific Council of the Euréka Student Scientific Research Award in 2018 has selected 165 outstanding topics to compete in the finals. This year, 2018, 323 scientists and specialists from various fields have joined the scientific councils to select and evaluate topics from 12 research areas within the framework of the award.

 

 

 

The research team led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, lecturer of Information Technology for Management, Statistics – Informatics Department, including Pham Phuong Loan, Tran Thien Quoc, Trinh Dinh Phuong, Nguyen Thi Cam Van, class 41K21 has the 12 most excellent topics in the field of information technology.

Although the achievements are modest, the spirit of learning and research of the students of the Department in particular and the whole school in general is promoted strongly.
