MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to the Faculty of Statistics and Informatics, University of Economics - University of Da Nang!

The Faculty was founded in January 2005. Its precursor is the Division of Statistics and Planning in the Faculty of Economics, Da Nang University of Science and Technology, founded in 1975. The current task of the Faculty is to train human resources at the undergraduate level with two majors, including Economic Statistics and Management Information System Management.

The development of the Faculty today is due to the acquisition of the essence and values of many previous generations, the contributions of experienced trainers and lecturers, the leaders's attention, and the support of organizations and businesses as well as the students' efforts.

With the enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility and the unity of the Faculty members and staff, the objectives of the Faculty are to strengthen and improve the competence and quality of training through the improvement and modernization of curriculum, teaching and assessment methods, and the diversification of training majors in consideration of practical demands and scientific research activities.

The graduates of the Faculty have been employed in various businesses and organizations, and numerous of them have been promoted and held important positions. They are good role models for current students of the Faculty.

The Faculty is committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to ensure a foundation for success in statistics and information technology, and lifelong learning ability.
