Master’s Program in Management Information Systems
1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Master's program in Management Information Systems (MIS) is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and highly specialized skills in the MIS field. The curriculum powerfully integrates Information Technology (IT) Science and Management Science, meeting the practical demand for high-quality human resources in the global digital transformation context.
The core objective is to train experts capable of working independently, creatively, and possessing the competence to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems within the management information systems of businesses and organizations.
2. ADVANCED TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The program is structured into two main orientations, allowing students to choose a suitable career development path:
A. RESEARCH-ORIENTATION
This focus aims to develop scientific research capacity, generate new knowledge, and contribute to the academic advancement of the MIS field.
- Knowledge: Advanced, specialized knowledge platform in MIS, supporting the research and development of modern models.
- Mindset: Ability to integrate IT and Management Science knowledge to construct research solutions and propose sustainable management models aligned with global trends.
- Skills: Develop the capability to identify scientific research problems, analyze new technology trends, and orient creative solutions that bring high practical value.
- Other Competencies: Build capacity for autonomy, responsibility, organization, and management of scientific research activities.
B. APPLIED-ORIENTATION
This focus equips students with the ability to apply knowledge to professional practice, solving specific business challenges.
- Application: Apply specialized and interdisciplinary knowledge to effectively design, implement, and manage quality management systems (QMS) in businesses.
- Analysis & Optimization: Analyze and solve practical problems by identifying and applying technology solutions to optimize system performance.
- Planning: Develop capabilities for strategic planning, determining technology solutions, and optimizing the performance of the entire information system.
- Soft Skills: Develop organizational, management, and responsibility skills in operating, maintaining, and upgrading the QMS.
- Autonomy: Enhance the capacity for autonomy, creativity, and responsibility in professional fields and activities, meeting market requirements.

4. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE SUPPLEMENTATION
4.1. General Admission Requirements
- Must hold a University degree (or equivalent level or higher) in a relevant field.
- Must meet Foreign Language Proficiency Level 3 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (or equivalent).
4.2. Required Supplementary Courses (If necessary)

5. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for the Master of Science in MIS degree, students must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Complete all training program modules and satisfactorily defend the Thesis/Graduation Project.
2. Achieve Foreign Language Proficiency equivalent to Level 4 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (or equivalent certificates as regulated) before the graduation date.
3. Fulfill all responsibilities as prescribed by the University.
4. Not be subject to criminal prosecution or disciplinary/academic suspension.
