DUE students in Ireland (part 3): Integrated to the developed educational environment

13/11/2017

Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) is one of the best universities in Cork in particular as well as Ireland in general. From the first days of entering the university, Toan and Duong felt the closeness and friendliness of teachers and friends here. The spacious and convenient facilities of the university also left good impression for the students from Vietnam.

"The main campus is generally spacious and open with a classic design which is close to nature. Trees are planted everywhere, and the evergreen grass is the boldest impression when first arrived at this school” Tran Thanh Toan shared. As for Nguyen Thuy Duong, “CIT is not only spacious, cool campus with green trees but also modern in design, serving the maximum for learners. From the Library with hundreds of thousands of books, materials to the Student Center for learning, research, entertainment, living, sports ... All wrapped up with one word: Great!”.

The admission is more than 3 weeks late, but thanks to the dedicated guidance of the teachers at CIT, Toan and Duong has gradually integrated and caught up with the pace here. Toan said that the lessons in CIT were very lively, faculty members created conditions for students to express their views and opinions, thereby contributing to the objective lectures and the way students absorb their knowledge, especially for international students. The CIT curriculum also balances the student's academic knowledge and research ability, helping students develop creativity in their studies. "This highly adaptive learning environment will help students consolidate knowledge and provide the foundation for scientific research and practice," Yang added.

After spending more than a month learning in CIT, Toan and Duong also learned a few "secrets": "Focus on listening to the teacher as well as reading the lesson at home. Also, take time to do group work with international students to improve your foreign language skills as well as strengthen your knowledge of the subject. And more importantly, ask your teacher any problems related to the lecture if you do not understand". With this modern learning style, you have developed a new, more effective learning method and will share this secret with friends in Vietnam.

Having a chance to study in a facilitated environment like CIT is really a great opportunity for Tran Thanh Toan and Nguyen Thuy Duong to accumulate more useful experiences and enrich the knowledge of starting a business. Wish you two will continue to study well, promote the dynamic spirit, creativity of DUE students.
