The Party Committee of the University of Economics, the University of Danang held a Conference to summarize the Party building work in 2021 and orientations and tasks in 2022 on the morning of January 21, 2022, in the form of a combination of face-to-face and online. Attending the conference were Mr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of the University of Economics, and all members of the Party Committee of the University of Economics.

The Party Committee of the University of Economics is a grassroots party under the Party Committee of the University of Danang. Currently, the Party Committee of DUE has 18 branches (12 branches in faculties, 5 branches of functional departments, 1 branch of students) with a total of 263 party members, of which 250 are official members and 13 reserve members. The Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Economics, for the 2020-2025 term, has 15 comrades, the Standing Committee has 5 comrades. At the beginning of 2020, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University had 14 comrades and during the year, one comrade was added.

At the conference, comrade Vo Thi Thuy Anh - a member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee - Vice-Rector of the University of Economics presented the summary report on Party building in 2021. In 2021, the University Party Committee gave drastic and strong direction in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic; through which the University has both implemented the anti-epidemic goal as required by the Government and Da Nang city and ensured training activities, testing, quality accreditation, scientific research - international cooperation, and investment in facilities still ensure according to the plan set out and have achieved the following results:

With regards to training: the Party Committee has directed the implementation of flexible adaptation solutions to adapt training and enrollment activities in the context of the nationwide epidemic. On the basis of the Elearning 2 platform and other applications, in May 2021, all learning activities at all training levels were held online, thus not affecting the study plan for the school year. Three new majors have also been built, tested, and put into enrollment from course 47, namely International Economics, Digital Business, and Digital Marketing, meeting the requirements of the labor market in the context of industry 4.0.

In terms of testing, accreditation, and education quality assurance: The Party Committee directed to implement quality accreditation activities according to AUN standards and as a result, 3 programs of Corporate Finance, Banking, and Tourism were all achieved good results. In 2021, the Party Committee has also directed functional departments to write self-assessment reports, and the Accreditation Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi has accredited the University of Cycle 2 by the end of 2021. The outstanding result in the examination in 2021 is that for the first time all university students of all training systems have been tested online, without errors in the context of the epidemic that has lasted since the beginning of May 2021. The coordination of the Department of Testing with the Center for Information Technology and Communication, along with the coordination of the faculties and the efforts of the entire lecturers contributed to the guaranteed testing activities, and the students graduate on time.

As for scientific research and international cooperation: The Party Committee has directed scientific research and international cooperation activities by promulgating many policies to encourage and create favorable conditions for the development of this field. Support policies for international publication are adjusted to ensure encouragement and reward for individuals and research groups in accordance with the direction of the economic - business - law sector. Due to the complicated development of the Covid epidemic, scientific conferences are held online. In 2021, 03 international conferences and 2 national conferences have been organized, 3 State-level projects and 11 University-level projects have been completed; published 65 international articles in the ISI/Scopus catalog. In addition, there are 06 textbooks, reference books, monographs directly compiled and published by the lecturers of the University, which also contribute to meeting the needs of scientific research, the teaching of lecturers, and the learning of students. Additionally, the Party Committee directed the promotion of scientific research among students. The university's students have won 1 first prize and 4 third prizes at the 2021 Olympics in Applied Econometrics, a second prize and a consolation prize in the EUREKA Student Scientific Research Competition 2021, and many topics nominated to participate in other contests.

Party-building work in 2021 was a task that has received special attention from the Party Committee since the beginning of the year. In 2021, the Party Committee organized more than 250 elite people to take awareness classes about the Communist Party of Vietnam and applied for admission to 24 new party members, including 20 students and 04 lecturers. The Party Committee of the University has continued to approve 5 cadres and civil servants, requesting the Party Committee of the University of Danang to consider and officially transfer the 43 reserve members.

The Party Committee closely directed the activities of the Trade Union, the Veterans, the Youth Union, and the Student Union; turning these organizations into reliable support for students, cadres, and civil servants, representing the legitimate interests of employees. Every three months, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors organize joint meetings with the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Executive Committee of the Youth Union to direct and coordinate the implementation of work, and to remove arising difficulties. Therefore, the activities of political organizations were strictly in accordance with their functions and tasks, and closely followed the resolutions of the Party Committee.

Comrade Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Economics, deployed the direction and tasks of the Party Committee in 2022 as follows: The Party Committee of the University of Economics, the University of Danang promote political and ideological education, improve the quality of learning, grasp the Party's resolutions, Directive 05/CT-TW of the Political Bureau associated with the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, term XIII; Resolutions, Directives of the City, Resolutions of the Party Committee of the University of Danang; especially organizing to thoroughly grasp the Documents of the 13th Party Congress. Directing cell branches, mass organizations to organize seminars and thematic activities; strengthening propaganda and dissemination of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. Actively fighting against destructive ideological plots of hostile forces, especially on self-evolution, self-degradation, and peaceful development; fighting against wrong ideas in the University.

In the school year 2021-2022, the Party Committee directed to continue to perfect the enrollment project in 2022 on the basis of inheriting the success in enrollment in previous years so that the University can recruit high-quality students. Directing to complete the project of opening a new Fintech industry. At the same time, develop a training program entirely in English on the basis of the 3+1 project with City U University.

Correspondingly, focus on directing and preparing the necessary preconditions to conduct domestic and foreign accreditation of training programs of different industries: commerce, economic development, economic statistics, and economic law in 2023.

At the conference, the Party Committee of the University of Economics commended and rewarded 04 branches for achieving the title of "Excellently completing the tasks in 2021", 14 branches meeting the standard of "Completing the tasks in 2021" and awarded 48 Party members "Excellently completing the tasks in 2021" for their contributions to the overall achievements of the University Party Committee. Such an achievement was due to the close direction and leadership of the University Party Committee and the great contributions of individual Party members in the Party Committee.
