Startup Runway 2021 has finally ended with a well-deserved triumph for the finest business concepts after nearly eight months of organizing through trials and errors. On the morning of December 8, the University of Economics presented certificates of merits to excellent teams that advanced to the final round, in order to recognize their efforts and hard work at the competition.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man, Head of Science & International Cooperation Department, welcomed young entrepreneurs by saying that Startup Runway is the ideal runway for thinkers to fly high in the startup world. The Organizing Committee gave high marks to all of the teams who competed in this year's tournament for their innovation and commitment to community-oriented implementation in the future. Each member of the team has worked hard to visualize the ideal end and make a lasting impact on the mentors and audience. Additionally, SHRIMP, the second-place team at Startup Runway 2021, just won the GBA Business Challenge 2021 competition. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man also sends his faith in startup ideas at Startup Runway 2022 to fly off and bring as many emotions as this year's contest.

At the awards ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man presented the Startup Runway 2021 Champion team with a Certificate of Merit and a VND 15 million prize: WREF with the idea of Agricultural Applications; awarded a Certificate of Merit and a reward of 12 million VND to the runner-up team: SHRIMPP with the idea of Bio-Pro product; awarded the Certificate of Merit and a reward of 10 million VND to the third-place-winning team: IWork with the idea of a Freelancer Business Connection Platform; awarded 02 Certificates of Merit and rewards (worth 1 million VND) to 02 Encouragement teams: G-tok and Space Sneakers; and also awarded certificates to the teams that made it to the top 10 of the competition.

Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, also praised and presented prizes to two high-achieving teams from the same Faculty. The Faculty of Business Administration is proud to have spawned a slew of bright entrepreneurs and firms around the country, as well as being the first unit to incorporate an entrepreneurship module in its curriculum. With a background in entrepreneurship knowledge and skills, Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang hopes that many students would foster the entrepreneurial spirit, generate numerous startup ideas, and shine in major startup contests such as Startup Runway.

*The contest is organized by the University of Economics, UD in collaboration with Cork Academy (Ireland) within the framework of a project sponsored by the Irish Aid Foundation (Ireland). This is a startup playground to promote the spirit of creativity and ideas among young people who are still sitting in the lecture halls. The attraction of the contest has contributed to spreading the entrepreneurial spirit of students giving wings to the career aspirations of young people in the Central region.
