Promoting International Cooperation with Babes Bolyai University, Romania

On the morning of April 9, the University of Economics – University of Danang (DUE) had the honor of welcoming a working delegation from Babes Bolyai University, Romania, with the aim of enhancing cooperation opportunities in education and scientific research.

The delegation from Babes Bolyai University included Prof. Dr. Adina Negrusa – International Relations Coordinator, Erasmus+ Office, Faculty of Business, and Dr. Elisabeta Butoi – Lecturer, Faculty of Business. On the side of DUE, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of Science & International Cooperation and the Office of Academic Affairs.

Within the framework of the reception, the two sides exchanged and proposed several potential areas of cooperation. Babes Bolyai University expressed its desire to collaborate with DUE in submitting proposals for faculty and student exchange projects under the Erasmus+ program. In addition, Babes Bolyai University also agreed on supervising doctoral students in relevant fields.

On the DUE side, the university representatives proposed a student exchange program in the field of tourism, particularly for outstanding students from partner institutions. This not only offers Vietnamese students the opportunity to experience the unique European culture in Romania but also serves as a chance to promote the natural beauty and cultural identity of Da Nang to the international community.

On the same day, the University of Economics organized an academic seminar with the participation of two guest speakers from Babes Bolyai University. The seminar attracted a large number of lecturers and individuals interested in the field of tourism.

The two topics presented included:

- The topic “Aspects of the tourism sector in Romania (events and gastronomy tourism)” presented by Prof. Dr. Adina Negrusa provided a multi-dimensional view of event and gastronomy tourism in Romania.

The topic “Cultural Dimensions, Character Strengths, and Virtues: A Case Study of Romanian Students’ Character Strengths” presented by Dr. Elisabeta Butoi offered in-depth analyses of the personality traits and cultural values of Romanian students.
