Rapid and sustainable development: International & local experiences of Vietnam

On the morning of October 18, the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) cooperated with the University of Economics to organize a scientific conference "Rapid and sustainable development: International & local experiences of Vietnam”. Workshop under the State-level project code KX04 / 16-20 by Assoc.Prof Nguyen Tien Dung - Rector of the University of Economics - Law is the chairman of the project.

Attending the conference were Assoc.Prof Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of the project, representatives of scientists from Central Institute of Social Sciences, Danang University of Architecture, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Economics - Law (National University of Ho Chi Minh City). On the side of the University of Economics The University of Danang, the presence of Assoc.Prof.Ph.D. Dao Huu Hoa - Vice Rector of the School, leaders of Faculties, Departments, Centers and numerous students of the University.

Speech to welcome scientists to attend the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Huu Hoa emphasized that the workshop will create links to build research networks of scientists, managers, and policy makers throughout the country with scientists, managers, policy makers in the Central region. At the same time, the University of Economics always wants to expand the relationship with local and national partners, with the aim of contributing to national prosperity and a responsible scientific community and ability.

Speaking at the Conference, Project Manager - Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Tien Dung thanked the University of Economics for co-organizing the seminar successfully, serving as a scientific basis for the study of the State-level project code KX04 / 16-20. The workshop is a forum to gather opinions and speeches of scientists, experts and managers on Rapid and sustainable development in Vietnam, thereby assessing the situation of rapid and sustainable development in Vietnam after 30 years of innovation and suggestions for new policies amid the industrial revolution 4.0.


There have been 39 papers by scientists, managers and university lecturers sent to the Conference. The organizers selected 33 papers in accordance with the topic and ensured the scientific content to register in the Workshop Proceedings. The articles participating in the seminar are all quality researches, valuable scientific materials for reference, contributing to policy making for fast and sustainable development in Vietnam.

Topic "Researching factors affecting fast and sustainable development in some Asian countries" by Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Tri Hai

Workshop focused discussion on topics:

- Experience of successful or unsuccessful countries in rapid and sustainable development and lessons learned for Vietnam;

- Analyzing and evaluating success and limitations in Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development;

- Compare and evaluate the successful experience of the world that can be applied to Vietnam to develop quickly and sustainably the economy;

- Analyze and evaluate success and limit the rapid and sustainable development of the whole country, regions and localities in Vietnam;

- Experiences of local localities on rapid and sustainable development can be expanded and applied in other localities in Vietnam;

- Forecasting the situation and issues raised in the new context for rapid and sustainable development of Vietnam;

- Specific solutions on mechanisms, conditions and policy contents of rapid and sustainable development in Vietnam in the current context.

MSc. Nguyen Chuong presented the presentation "Current situation and issues for rapid and sustainable development in the Central region"

In the plenary session, the scientists presented three papers: Researching factors affecting fast and sustainable development in some Asian countries (Associate Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Chi Hai - University of Economics - Law), Vietnam's sustainable economic development in the period of 2021 - 2030 (Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Luan - University of Economics - Law), Current situation and issues for rapid development and sustainable in the Central region (MSc.Nguyen Chuong - University of Economics - Danang University).

 

 

Scientists contributed ideas at the workshop

At the discussion session, the workshop listened to the assessments of researchers, scientists, experts on fast and sustainable development of the world and lessons learned for Vietnam. Besides, there are comments on changing mechanisms and policies so that Vietnam can apply rapid and sustainable development, implementing economic growth goals in harmony with cultural and real development and social justice, improving the quality of life of people.
