Sharing her feelings with us, Dang Thi My Hanh (born in 2000), currently living in Son Tra District, the student with highest score accepted into University of Economics, International Business studies with a score of 25,05 (Math: 8,6; Physics: 8,25; English: 8,2) could not hide her surprise to know that she was the student with the highest score. Hanh was really happy to become the highest-score student accepted into University of Economics – The University of Danang

Mrs. Tran Thi Huong (Hanh’s mother) emotionally shared with us: “Hanh’s father passed away when she was only 3. During his last moment, he told her to take care of Hanh and encourage her to study”. Perhaps, those words have motivated Mrs. Huong to try her best to support Hanh study. “I did not want her to go to school alone, so I decided to earn less and spend more time with her,” Mrs. Huong said with tears.

Understanding her mother’s hard-working, Hanh put more efforts into studying. In addition to extra classes, Hanh stayed up late to study each night. Her place of study is very simple, with only a desk and a bookshelf. She added: “I studied online most of the time, I also asked my friends to join the online courses with me to save money. Whenever I felt stressful, I thought of my father. He was my motivation to overcome any obstacle and to become stronger”. Hanh has always been a very good student since her primary school. She also acquired significant achievements, including the Second Prize (Physics) in Danang City excellent students contest.

Besides her studies, Hanh also helps her mother doing housework

Talking about her expectation when applying for International Business Studies, Hanh hoped that business-related studies would help her to obtain more knowledge to follow her start-up dream after graduation. Moreover, she wanted to study close to home so that my mother would not be alone. In her pastime, Hanh always helps her mother doing housework. She is very clever, though there are only two of them, Han always carefully lay the table for meals. “Perhaps my achievements today are all the results of my mother’s hardship. I still remember my mother waiting for me on the rainy days to take me home after school. We also missed my father a lot. If he knew, he would be happy”. Hanh gave us a bright smile.

Hanh also said that she would study hard to receive scholarships so that she can share the tuition fee with her mother. Moreover, this is also her way to follow the dream of being a businesswoman in the future.
