The preliminary conference of the midterm of the 8th Party Congress, 2020-2025 term, and the review of Party building work in the first 6 months of 2023

In order to evaluate the implementation of political tasks of the Party Committee of the University of Economics in the mid-term and to develop goals, directions and key solutions to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congress for the eighth time, term 2020 - 2025 in the remaining years, the Party Committee of the University of Economics solemnly held the midterm conference of the Party Congress of the University of Economics, term 2020 - 2025, and review of Party building work in the first 6 months of 2023 on the morning of June 14.

Attending the conference from the Party Committee of Da Nang University were Comrade Phan Minh Duc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang University Council, Comrade Nguyen Duc Tien - Party Committee member and Chief of the Party Committee Office of Da Nang University, Comrade Nguyen Van Han - Party Committee member and member of the Inspection Commission of the Party Committee of Da Nang University. From the University of Economics, University of Da Nang, there were Comrade Nguyen Manh Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, Comrade Truong Ba Thanh - Former Deputy Director of Da Nang University, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Rector of the University of Economics, Comrade Vo Xuan Tien - Former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Rector of the University of Economics, and Comrade Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Party Committee member, Deputy Rector in charge of the University of Economics, along with all Party members of the Party Committee of the University of Economics, University of  Da Nang.

At the conference, Comrade Nguyen Manh Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, reported on the interim review of the Party Congress of the University of Economics, Da Nang University, 8th term, 2020-2025. The overall evaluation of the first half of the 2020-2025 term is a period with many fluctuations directly affecting the leadership, direction, and activities of the Party Committee of the University. The prolonged Covid-19 pandemic has impacted nearly two-thirds of the term, and there have been unforeseen incidents and changes in key personnel of the University before the term. In the face of these difficulties, the Party Committee of the University of Economics has led and directed all levels of authorities and organizations to make efforts to overcome challenges, unite, and strive to achieve the set targets. The achieved results are comprehensive. The autonomy of the University has become stable and increasingly improved. The scale and quality of regular enrollment have been continuously improved in recent times. Quality assurance and accreditation have overcome difficulties in the context of the pandemic to fulfill the basic targets. Training activities and scientific research - international cooperation have been carried out in-depth and substantively to enhance quality. The infrastructure has been strongly invested in, providing a favorable working, teaching, studying, and research environment. The information technology system has been upgraded to serve training management and other activities, especially during the pandemic, in terms of online teaching, learning, and examination organization. The development of new party members has always achieved the set targets, and the Party Committee has achieved the title of Excellent Completion of Tasks for four consecutive years. The activities of the University have been carried out in discipline and regulations. The Party Committee has always demonstrated its core political role, successfully implementing all assigned tasks, maintaining unity, and consensus within the Party Committee. As a member university of the regional university system implementing autonomy first in the country, the University has achieved great success in many aspects, highly appreciated by public opinion inside and outside the University. The results achieved there, creating a solid foundation for the next phase, affirming the position and prestige of the University in the system of universities nationally and internationally.

On the basis of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the University for the term 2020 - 2025 and the Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2035, the Party Committee has determined that the University goals are: To build the University of Economics - University of Danang become a high quality human resource training center; scientific research, policy consulting and technology transfer in economic and business management on a par with leading training institutions in Southeast Asia. From there, set out directions and tasks for the period of 2023 - 2025: Continue to promote the achievements achieved in the past half term, build a clean and strong Party Committee; perfecting the political system from faculty, department to school level; improve the capacity and combat strength of each cell and the entire Party Committee to successfully complete the assigned political tasks. Completing the advanced university administration system based on information technology application; improve the quality of training services for learners in a comprehensive way; enhancing social responsibility and transparency in the context of university autonomy. Continuing to strengthen and develop a culture of quality in all aspects of the University's activities, ensuring that all activities are consistently directed towards the implementation of the mission, value system and quality objectives which has been established and is being implemented synchronously in the past period; completed the university’s quality accreditation and training programs according to international standards. Building an advanced academic environment, promoting creativity and innovation in teaching and scientific research in the context of international integration; reasonably develop the teaching staff, serve, and support teaching, improve the quality of the staff to gradually approach national and international standards. Continuing to innovate training programs towards modernity, meeting social needs, approaching international standards, enhancing connectivity, and linking with domestic and foreign training programs; improve the quality and innovate teaching methods. Improve the quality of scientific research and policy consultation activities, increase the number of scientific publications in prestigious journals, scientific conferences, scientific topics associated with reality in Da Nang city in particular and the whole country in general.
