Signing a cooperation agreement with Lincoln University, DUE students have more prestigious study abroad options in New Zealand

After a period of active exchange and work, on the afternoon of March 22, the cooperation relationship between the University of Economics - the University of Danang and Lincoln University (New Zealand) reached an important milestone through the student transfer cooperation agreement in the form of 2 + 2. Attending the signing ceremony on the partner side were Prof. Hugh Bigsby - Dean of Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce and Dr. Goh Tuan Nee - International Program Manager; On the side of the University of Economics, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice Rector, representatives of leaders of Training Departments, Student Affairs Departments, Department of Science & International Cooperation, Department of Inspection and Legal Affairs, representatives of leaders of the Faculty of Finance, Faculty of Banking, and Faculty of Marketing.

According to the cooperation agreement between the two schools, students of the University of Economics (if they meet the transfer conditions of the partner side) are selected to participate in transfer study in the form of 2 + 2 at Lincoln University and received a partner's degree. This will be a great opportunity for students who want to study in a country with an advanced education like New Zealand and have an international degree. Previously, in October 2022, Lincoln University also coordinated to organize Introduction about the school as well as scholarships and opportunities to study in New Zealand for students of the University of Economics. The information presentation took place in an exciting and vibrant atmosphere and was well received by a large number of students of the school.

Representatives of the two schools signed a cooperation agreement

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that the cooperation agreement is the first step for cooperation activities in many aspects of the two schools in the coming time. The University of Economics hopes that more and more students will choose New Zealand as well as Lincoln University as a place to study, experience and improve their qualifications, contributing to promoting the development of the cooperation relationship between the two universities. The exchange of lecturers, cooperation in scientific research, cooperation in organizing international scientific conferences, and sharing of research data were also actively discussed by the two sides.

Prof. Hugh Bigsby said that it is the honor of Lincoln University to officially cooperate with one of the leading prestigious training and research universities in Vietnam. Through the agreement, Lincoln University wishes to promote internationalization of education, cultural exchange between Vietnam and New Zealand, and create more study abroad opportunities for students of the University of Economics. International students trained at Lincoln University can fully return to Vietnam to contribute to the local socio-economic development or can access global job opportunities with aa international degree. Prof. Hugh Bigsby also hopes future Lincoln University students will also have the opportunity to experience education and culture in Vietnam from the cooperation orientations of the two sides.

The two schools actively exchange new cooperation directions

Representatives of the two universities expressed their delight at the signed cooperation agreement and agreed to continue to exchange and work actively to concretize the terms of cooperation. The cooperation agreement has created trust and a basis for the University of Economics - University of Danang and Lincoln University to develop, elevating the cooperation relationship in the coming time.
