Union members are excited at the DUE connection festival to celebrate International Women's Day

Many meaningful activities have been organized by the Trade Union of the University of Economics - University of Danang to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 and are part of practical activities towards the X Congress of the University's Trade Union. In addition to the International Women's Day Celebration, trade union members also participated in the DUE Connecting Festival including the "Slow Bicycle" contest and the "Food Fair" taking place on the morning of March 4.
Attending the Celebration of International Women's Day were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Van Huy – Vice Rector of the University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector of the University, on the side of the Executive Board of the Trade Union, there were Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Thu - President of the Trade Union, comrades in the Executive Committee together with many union members of the University of Economics. The University's leaders sent their best wishes to all female union members on the occasion of International Women's Day and gave congratulatory flower baskets.

Entering the "Slow Bicycle" contest, each team representing the division's union (including 01 male and 01 female) controls the bicycle, the male member gives flowers to the female member, the team that gives the last flower is the winner. The union members had carefully prepared and tried their best through each competition round to reach the final round. The cheering of the audience also brought spirit and excitement to the competition. In the end, 02 first prizes were awarded to the Union of the Department of Organization - Administration and the Union of the Faculty of Political Theory; 02 Second prizes were awarded to the Union of Faculty of Tourism and the Union of the Faculty of International Business, 02 third prizes were awarded to the Union of Faculty of Banking and the Union of the Specialized Foreign Language; Consolation prizes were also awarded by the Organizing Committee to 15 divisional unions participating in the contest.

In parallel with the "Slow Bicycle" contest, the "DUE Food Fair" activity also attracted a large number of union members of the University of Economics. Food stalls with a wide variety of dishes and drinks with food safety and hygiene standards have created many communication and connection spaces for trade union members. From dishes such as pizza, sticky rice, cream cheesecake, mixed jackfruit, spring rolls, etc. to attractive drinks like fruit juice, yogurt, coffee, milk tea, etc. brought a colorful and traditional culinary festival. The food fair not only creates a lot of joy to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, but also showcases the cooking and processing skills of the trade unionists of the University of Economics, and at the same time creates an opportunity for unions to connect, exchange and increase solidarity and friendliness.
