Elevating the cooperation relationship with the City University of Seattle (USA)

On the afternoon of November 9, the University of Economics had a meeting and exchanged cooperation opportunities with leaders of the City University of Seattle (USA). Welcoming the delegation were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice-Rector of the University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh – Head of Training Department, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Huu Man – Head of Science & International Cooperation Department and lecturers who have studied and researched at the City University of Seattle. On the side of the partner’s delegation, there were Mr. Randy Frisch - Rector of the City University of Seattle, Mr. Danny Dang - Vietnam Program Director, and Ms. Dieu Tran - Program Manager in Vietnam.

Opening the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh welcomed the presence of two leaders from prestigious educational institutions. The representative of the University of Economics believes that the cooperation between the partners will develop strongly in many fields, contributing to elevating the strategic cooperation relationship in the new period.

Continuing the exchange, the University of Economics and the City University of Seattle summarized the cooperation activities as well as a preliminary assessment of the signed agreements between the two sides. Accordingly, there have been students participating in the transfer under the cooperation agreement of 2+2 and 3+1, the exchange program of the two universities. Representatives of the two schools also had a close discussion and had meetings to discuss and give suggestions to build the training program framework. These are good signs for the growing cooperation relationship between the University of Economics and the City University of Seattle.

From the background of the cooperation relationship, the leaders of the two universities discussed in detail the direction of future cooperation as well as the 2+2 and 3+1 transition programs, the exchange program of lecturers and students, especially in strong fields such as Accounting, Auditing, Finance - Banking, Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, etc. The delegates also mentioned cooperation in scientific research, academic exchange, and the co-organization of specialized international conferences in the coming time. Representatives of the two sides affirmed that they will continue to develop a good cooperative relationship, and at the same time make efforts to expand cooperation areas and bring the cooperation relationship to a new height in the future.
