MAI NGUYEN CONG THUAN- STUDENT OBTAINING EXCHANGE SCHORLARSHIP TWICE

14/08/2017
To be one of the a students who have been able to study and experience abroad twice, Mai Nguyen Cong Thuan (student in the Faculty of Commerce) has had new and exciting experiences in the lands he has set foot on. come. Let's talk to this friend on training days at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), Ireland!

❓ Welcome, can you share your first impression when you arrive in Ireland?

‼ As I walked out of Dublin airport, the first thing I was impressed with was the soft sunlight and the cool atmosphere. An extremely interesting thing is that many houses here are built on very steep hills, creating residential areas like stacked up, making me think of Vietnam's terraced fields.

❓ How have overseas study tours and training helped Thuan?

‼ In addition to being able to make friends, learn about different cultures and see firsthand the famous beauty of each country, this is a very good opportunity for me to improve my foreign language skills in a way most natural and effective. I can learn even more languages from you in other countries too!

After each trip like this I myself feel more mature, think more mature and these experiences will be precious luggage for the process of learning and working later. There are so many interesting things that can't be told.

❓ So expectations of Thuan in this Irish training course?

‼ I wish to have a useful learning month in both culture and valuable entrepreneurship knowledge because one of the famous thing of Ireland is startup. Hopefully, after returning to Vietnam, it is possible to apply these knowledge in a practical way for their projects. In addition, the real experience in Ireland will accumulate experience for yourself and build many relationships with you here, especially contributing to the relationship between UE-UD and CIT.

❓ Compared to an exchange study trip at Westphalian University (Germany), how does Thuan feel the difference when training in Ireland?

‼ Germany and Ireland are developed countries with very good education that many students desire to experience. The education of both countries provide a very good orientation for students about the passion for the industry they are studying. They study enthusiastically and have a high sense of self-discipline. The number of students is not much to help ensure the quality of each class.

However, the two educational backgrounds have different points, such as in Ireland, more focused on self-studying students' research, and in Germany, teachers spend a lot of time to orient the future for learners.

❓ Thuan can share more thoughts about the learning environment, starting a business at the University of Economics - Danang University?

‼ One of the great things about the start-up environment is the short-term training courses that you are participating in. These trips bring a lot of experience that a student needs to prepare for a solid start-up. Hopefully, UE-UD will create more opportunities for young people so that the start-up environment here is more and more beautiful and professional.

Thanks and wish Thuan will train very well in Ireland, cultivate more learning experiences, start a career for himselfs andpromote  building UE-UD students confident, brave and passion.

* In addition to achieving the first prize of Danang Startup Runway 2017 (with C-Tek group) and winning a 1-month training ticket to start a business at Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland), Mai Nguyen Cong Thuan is also known for his "great" achievement table in study and competitions.
