SIGNING CEREMONY OF FURAMA RESORT AND UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMIC - UD

On the morning of January 11, the University of Economics and Bac My An Tourism Joint Stock Company - The Furama Resort Danang held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on improving and supplementing high-quality human resources in the field of tourism. Representatives of the University of Economics were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of the university, representatives of Student Affairs Department, Training Department, Center for Student Support and Business Relations, Faculty of Tourism; On the Furama resort’s side, Mr. Matthias Wiesmann - CEO, on behalf of the company, signed the cooperation agreement. Attending the signing ceremony were more than 200 students from the Faculty of Tourism - University of Economics, UD.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan expressed his pleasure that Furama Resort Danang has trusted and cooperated with the university. The university of Economics is proud to be a prestigious place in training human resources in the field of service - tourism in the Central Highlands. The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement will create more opportunities for the University's students to experience the 5-star service level of Furama resort, thereby improving their knowledge and skills through professional practical activities. The university hopes that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen the cooperation relationship, promote the strengths of each side to jointly develop and train quality human resources for the tourism industry.

On behalf of Furama Resort Danang, Mr. Matthias Wiesmann strongly believes in the success of the cooperation agreement. Mr. Matthias also added, Da Nang has been an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists, so training human resources in service and tourism will contribute to improving service quality and building a brand for the peaceful and hospitable Da Nang. In the coming time, Furama resort Danang will promote the construction of many projects such as Ariyana Convention Center with a capacity of nearly 2500 people, 5-star Condotel Ariyana Beach Resort & Suite Danang project... Mr. Matthias believes that This is a career opportunity for tourism students, especially students of the Faculty of Tourism - University of Economics.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan and Mr. Matthias Wiesmann represented the two sides to sign the cooperation agreement. In which, the University is responsible for introducing students to visit, practice careers and appoint lecturers along with Furama resort to manage students during their internship. The school will also be a bridge of information between students and employers. To meet the needs of students of the University to visit and practice, Furama resort will receive and support students and send them direct instructors. Besides, the company will create all conditions for students to learn, experience and improve their career skills. Based on the assessment during the internship, Furama resort will prioritize recruitment of these students when they graduate. The company also supports sending staff to participate in important programs of the University such as enrollment campaigns, job fairs, conferences, seminars... Representatives of the two sides affirmed that the cooperation agreement marked a step forward in the new cooperation relationship between University of Economics and Furama resort Da Nang.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the representative of Furama resort exchanged and answered students' questions about the characteristics of work, environment, and job opportunities at the company. In addition, the students also learned about the history, formation process and information about Furama resort through collective games, exchange performances, and live Q&A. This is also an opportunity for the University's students to affirm their capacity, professional qualifications and creativity in front of Employers.
