ICOAF 2019 - THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

University of Economics - The University of Danang (DUE, Vietnam), Institute of Global Finance at the University of New South Wales (Australia), Massey University (NZ), and Aston University, are organizing the 5th International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF-2019), to be held in Da Nang City, Vietnam, on July 13-14th, 2019

As a result of DUE’s close collaboration with international partners, the ICOAF-2019 brings together the world-leading experts in accounting, finance, and related fields, serving as a unique point of convergence in South East Asia for researchers, practitioners and policymakers to meet, share, and exchange their ideas. 

The Organizing Committee would like to invite you to be a part of the ICOAF-2018 and submit your research papers for presentation consideration. The conference welcomes submissions in all areas of finance, banking, and accounting, of both theoretical and empirical natures (English only). 

The ICOAF 2019 is especially honored to have: 
Keynote Speakers Professor Joseph Fan, Professor of School of Accountancy and Department of Finance of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Prof. Fan is a world leading expert and one of the most cited researchers in finance and governance of emerging market corporations (almost 16,000 citations in Google Scholar and 3,100 in SSCI as of October 2018). His research topics cover organisational pyramids, finance, and governance of Chinese SOEs, and succession, marriage, ownership structure and governance of family firms and business families in Asia and China. He has published his research works in top academic journals, including Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and Journal of Corporate Finance. He has served the editorial board of several international journals, including Financial Management, Journal of Corporate Finance, Management Science, and Review of Finance. His insights have been frequently cited by global business press, including The Economist, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times. 

Professor Mingyi Hung, Chair Professor, Fung Term Professor of Accounting, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Prof. Hung is a world-class researcher and has served as the editor of The Accounting Review, and editorial board member of a number of top-tier journals in Business and Accounting, such as Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of International Accounting Research. She has published numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed accounting and international business journals, including Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Journal of Corporate Finance. Her works have been frequently cited by global business press, including The Economist, Financial Times, CFO.com, Boardmember.com, American Accounting Association (AAA) press release, Financial Accounting Standards Research Initiative (FASRI).

Key Dates April 15th, 2019 : Submission deadline May 15th, 2019 : Notification of acceptance/rejection May 31st, 2019 : Registration deadline July 13-14th, 2019 : Conference event 

All submissions must be in Word or PDF format, and be sent electronically at the website of the conference. Submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. The conference scientific program will be available by July 01st, 2019. 

Best Paper Awards All papers will be considered for the Best Paper Award in Finance, and in Accounting. 

Registration Early Bird Fee (before May 24th ) : US$200 Standard Fee : US$250 PhD Students : US$150 Registration fee includes the abstract book, the conference proceeding CD with ISBN numbers, and other conference materials. It also includes welcome reception, coffee breaks, lunch, and a gala dinner during the conference. Accommodation is not included.
