Conference on the Introduction of "Secured Warranty" at the University of Economics - University of Da Nang

On 02/11/2018, the University of Economics - University of Da Nang, Securities Training Center (SRTC) in collaboration with Vietnam Securities Industry and Commerce Joint Stock Company (CTS) held the Conference on Gender Introduction of "Secured Warranty" at the University of Economics - University of Da Nang. Attending the conference were Ph.D. Ta Thanh Binh - Director of Market Development Department - State Securities Commission, M.Sc Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of SRTC, Assoc.Prof. Ph.D Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector of University of Economics, PhD. Dang Tung Lam - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and securities companies, public companies, listed companies, investment funds, lecturers and students of the University of Economics – The Unveristy of Danang and other universities in the area.

Speaking at the conference, representatives of the University of Economics expressed her pleasure to welcome scientists from the State Securities Commission, representatives of securities companies, commercial banks, companies Stock and public investment. Presentations at the conference will provide investors with the most comprehensive view of secured warranties, enabling investors to make investment decisions on the stock market. The University of Economics – The Unveristy of Danang  would like to cooperate with the State Securities Commission, securities companies to organize many conferences and scientific seminars as well as to coordinate in the training and professional development for students.

At the conference, Ph.D. Ta Thanh Binh introduced the warranted security, benefits and risks associated with the product, and presented the mode of issuance, transaction and payment of secured transaction. According to a representative from the State Securities Commission, secured warrants are defined in Decree 60/2015 / CP-ND are securities with security assets issued by the securities company. Investors will pay a premium to own the right and to buy or sell underlying securities to the issuer at pre-determined prices, at or before the time has expired. set or receive the difference between the strike price and the underlying stock at the time of execution.

For investors, Warranty guarantees will provide an additional risk hedging tool as well as an increased choice of investment products at a lower cost than conventional or fund certificates. . For securities companies, the participation in the issuance of warrant certificates will create conditions to expand business and increase sales for themselves such as issuing products investment, brokerage with many sources of domestic and foreign customers.


 

Although with so many advantages and potential for growth, guaranteed warranties are always subject to certain risks that investors or issuers face. Guaranteed collateral issued by securities companies is also a risky issue for investors, as issuers of financial hardship may be affected. payment to investors.
