MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to Statistics and Informatics Department, University of Economics - University of Da Nang!

The Department was founded in January 2005. Its precursor is the Statistics subject of the Department of Economics, Da Nang University of Science and Technology, founded in 1975. The current task of the Department is to train human resources at university level with 4 specializations: Business and Social Statistics, E-Commerce, Information System Management and Information Technology for Management. 

The development of the Department today is due to the acquisition of essence and values of many previous generations, the contribution of a team of experienced trainers and lecturers, attention from the leadership, and support from organizations, businesses and from the students themselves.

With the enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility and the unity of the Department members and staff, objectives of the Department are to strengthen and improve the competence and quality of training through the improvement and modernization of curriculum, content and teaching methods and the diversification of training majors in consideration of practical demands and scientific research activities.

Many bachelors from the Department have been successful, many of them have grown up and held important positions in various organizations, businesses, and are good role models for current students of the Department.

The Department is committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will ensure a successful foundation in the field of statistics and information technology, and lifelong learning.
