OPPORTUNITY FOR COOPERATION AND SIGNING 2 + 2, 3 + 1 TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR MIS STUDENT WITH CARDIFF UNIVERSITY METROPOLITAN (UK)

On March 22, 2017, Statistics - Informatics Department welcomed Mr. Christopher Paul Russell, representative of Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) to visit and work in Department. Members of the Deanery and Department members have the honor to welcome Mr. Christopher Paul Russell.

In this meeting, Hoang Thi Thanh Ha PhD., Vice Dean of the Department presented the research directions and training programs of the Department including Management Information System (3 fields: Information Technology for Management, System Management Information, E-Commerce) and Statistics (including a Social and Business Statistics). Mrs. Hoang Thi Thanh Ha also emphasized the development direction of the Department in the coming time. One of the important orientations of the Department is to study and sign training cooperation with prestigious international partners, create transfer opportunities for Department students or exchange programs. term of students as well as lecturers.

 

Mr. Christopher Paul Russell, representative of Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK), introduced the undergraduate and post graduate programs as well as the research orientation close to the training programs of the Department such as Technology Project Management, IT administration, Computer Science, Data Science, etc. Mr. Christopher Paul Russell has introduced scholarships for students of Da Nang University of Economics with the conditions of foreign language competence. The two sides have a comfort and open discussion.

The meeting took place well and left a good impression on both sides. It is hoped that the meeting would bring opportunities for the Department to exchange learning and academic experience and training programs in the international environment. In particular, it opens up the opportunity to develop joint training programs or 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 cooperation programs between students of Information System and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
