Job Fair 2018 – “Golden opportunity” for enterprises and employees

On the morning of June 19, more than 120 enterprises, corporations and companies in Da Nang and Central Highlands and thousands of students were present at the 2018 Job Fair held by the University of Economics - Da Nang University in cooperation with Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs. Attending the fair were Nguyen Thi Thanh Hung - Director of the Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, representatives of enterprises; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Huu Hoa - Vice Rector of the University of Economics and representatives of faculties, divisions and centers under the University.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van An, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs emphasized that this annual employment session has linked labour supply and demand between enterprises and employees, contributing to the successful implementation of the program "Having a job" of the city. Representatives of the Department hoped the event will be held more often with higher efficiency, thereby contributing to employment growth and improving the quality of human resources to meet the requirements of enterprises and promote the socio-economic development of Da Nang.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Huu Hoa said that the Job Fair which took place during the second graduation week has helped to solve the problem for the new graduates and showed the efforts of the University of Economics in ensuring its students employment opportunities for a solid future. Not only final-year students but those who are currently pursuing their studies at the University can also have the opportunity to approach employers in the fields or majors they are being trained so as to supplement and improve their knowledge and skills, especially in the boom of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Students learned about the Job Fair

Right after the opening ceremony, students met and connected directly with the recruiters to find out about the enterprises, working conditions, career opportunities to confidently apply to appropriate positions. The 2018 Job Fair has brought about 6700 job vacancies, especially enterprises with high recruiting demand for university and college level. The recruitment sector covers a wide range of areas from economic management, finance and accounting, executive management, administration, engineering, technicians to sales, hospitality, etc. There are big brands such as Vin Group, Sun Group, ABBank, MBBank, PNJ, Mobifone, Cocobay, etc., which showed the prestige of the Job Fair. According to the statistics, more than 500 workers had access to suitable employment positions. In addition to information about employment, enterprises are also regularly updated so employees continue to contact in the upcoming time.
