    THE FACULTY OFFICE AND LECTURERS’ WORKING ROOMS

    A new 9-storey main building block with a construction area of 797 m2 with a total floor area of 6.500 m2 has just been used. The building has a synchronous system, including electricity, water supply and drainage, fire protection systems, air conditioning, ventilation, elevator, and other ancillary works. Specifically, 42 separate working rooms for Professors and Associate Professors and two large working rooms (including 30 working seats) for PhDs are arranged in a multi-purpose building for meetings, working and scientific research. The functional rooms and faculty offices in the multi-purpose building have been used, creating favourable conditions for working and communicating with students.

    Located in My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City (No. 71, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang with the total area of land managed and used by the University is 44,745 m2 (nearly 4.5ha), the University of Economics – The University of Danang advocates enhancing synchronized, modern infrastructure to serve professional work and promote scientific research and knowledge transfer. Specifically:

    • 114 classrooms of different sizes (total area 20,407m2), all equipped with projectors, sound systems, air conditioners, and so on to support teaching. Some classrooms are designed with an active, student-friendly learning style.

    LIBRARY

    The DUE library stores, organizes, exploits and provides information and documents in science and technology. It is responsible for providing learning materials to support training and scientific research activities. The library is a separate 4-storey building with a total floor area of 2,705m2, including a system of reading rooms, self-study areas, and well-arranged bookstores; all rooms are equipped with noise-proof door systems, air conditioning to create a quiet and relaxed study and research environment; has a system of equipment including computers, printers, and photocopiers.

    In addition, the library has 9.651 books, 17.569 electronic titles, five electronic databases (under the publishers: IG Publishing, Springer, Elsevier, SAGE, Emerald), 45 top specialized journals, more than 7000 theses, about 5000 Japanese books and a rich repository of electronic documents including books, articles, journals, theses, etc., meeting the needs of employees and students from various disciplines and graduate students. The number of titles related to informatics majors is 545, with 13.449 copies.

    In particular, by participating in the National Electronic Library Project for Economics University funded by the World Bank, with the National Economics University as the lead institution (SAHEP Project), the DUE Library has supplemented foreign electronic databases, meeting the demand for new academic disciplines as well as the need for teaching, learning, and research materials for faculty members and students.

    In order to promote scientific and technological activities as well as technology transfer, the University has invested in 42 working rooms with modern equipment for professors/associates professors, PhDs with research experience; invested in building a modern Research Room for graduate students and PhD students; invested in building three new practice rooms for training programs that require regular professional practice (Tourism, Accounting, Marketing); etc. DUE also built two computer labs with a total of more than 200 computers, a Centre of Foreign Languages and Informatics.
