An interesting meeting between students of University of Economics and Republic Polytechnic University (Singapore)

In 26/9, more than 40 lectures and students of Republic Polytechnic University (Singapore) attended the meeting with students of University of Economics – The University of Danang to exchange cultures and share knowledge on tourism. The meeting was full of open and warm atmosphere with many activities and information about Vietnam and Singapore.

In the meeting, the presentative of Faculty of Tourism – University of Economics had a brief introduction about the country and people of Vietnam.
The beauty of nature and culture, as well as the efforts of Vietnamese people strongly impressed international students. Also, Vietnam is becoming an appealing destination for international tourists. The presentative of DUE also shared some experiences about the type of tourism in Vietnam and emphasized the conversation of national culture within the current globalization.

Moreover, the image of Danang City with the so-called title “Worth-living City” is also a potential tourism brand for foreigners. Students from Singapore also found some similarities between Danang City and their country – the strong development, the friendliness of citizens, and symbols such as “Koi fish becoming Dragon.” This was also an occasion for Vietnam students to bring the beauty of Vietnam closer to international students.

Singapore also has a world-leading education system with famous universities such as National University Singapore, University of Technology Nanyang, Auston Institute of Management, East Asia Institute… Republic Polytechnic University is also famous for training in aspects such as Pharmacy, Logistics, Hospitality management, customer relations and services, and information technology…
Games and activities connected students of two universities
Through the sharing about the country and people of Vietnam and Singapore, lectures and students of University of Economics and Republic Polytechnic University also acquired more useful knowledge about tourism and got to know more about the culture, landmarks, cuisines, tradition, and customs of two countries. The meeting was stirred up with the participation of the Travelling Club and SEE Club (DUE).
The cultural exchange between students of University of Economics and Republic Polytechnic University gave an impression about the active and integration among the students. Also, this is also the launchpad for more collaboration opportunities between the two universities in the future.
