University of Economics Focuses on Building a High-Quality Young Faculty

On May 14, 2026, the University of Economics held its Faculty Development Program aimed at identifying, selecting, nurturing, and developing students with outstanding academic performance, scientific research capability, and aspirations for a long-term academic career.

Attendees included Professor Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University; Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh and Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice Rectors; representatives from the leadership of faculties, departments, and affiliated units, as well as outstanding students.

Professor Dr. Le Van Huy emphasized that building and developing a high-quality young faculty is one of the university’s strategic tasks in the current period. The Rector expressed hope that the program would provide a favorable environment for students to maximize their academic and research abilities, gradually develop an academic mindset, professional competence, and a desire to contribute to higher education. At the same time, the university will continue to accompany, support, and create conditions for promising students to follow a systematic development path toward becoming high-quality lecturers and researchers in the future.

The program is implemented with the goal of creating a high-quality human resource pool to serve the strategy of faculty development, scientific research, and postgraduate training, contributing to the university’s ongoing process of international integration.

At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Huu Man, Head of Academic Affairs, provided an overview of the Young Faculty Development Program following an integrated academic pathway, highlighting training orientations, opportunities for academic development, scientific research, and a dedicated development roadmap for students with the potential to become future lecturers.
