DUE allocates more than VND1.5 billion in scholarships for talented and elite 52K freshmen

The University of Economics - The University of Danang (DUE) has allocated VND1.519 billion for scholarships and tuition support in the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year for 71 talented and elite freshmen of the 52K cohort, who achieved outstanding results in the 2026 university admissions cycle. The policy reflects the university’s student-centred approach, under which investment in students’ capabilities and potential is regarded as an important component of its development strategy.

Specifically, 33 talented students of the 52K cohort have received academic incentive scholarships worth a combined nearly VND634.78 million, while 38 students enrolled in the DUE-ELITE programme are entitled to tuition fee waivers under the programme’s policy. The total funding allocated for the two schemes in the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year stands at VND1.519 billion.

DUE’s scholarship and tuition support policies are designed not only to recognise students’ achievements at the point of admission, but also to form part of a support mechanism linked to their academic progress and skills development. Easing financial pressure gives students greater scope to focus on their studies, scientific research, professional skills development and academic activities, helping turn strong entry qualifications into capabilities that can be developed throughout their university years.
