Expanding Cooperation with Busan University of Foreign Studies (South Korea)

On August 8, 2026, the University of Economics - University of Danang welcomed a delegation from Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS), South Korea, to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation in education, student exchange, and the development of international programs.

During the meeting, both sides assessed that the partnership between DUE and BUFS has been maintained through various student-focused activities, including exchange programs, study tours, and academic exchanges. Representatives from BUFS expressed a desire to further strengthen the relationship and expand connections to other academic units within the university.

Representatives from Busan University of Foreign Studies introduced English-taught programs and cooperation opportunities for DUE students.

In discussions on future collaboration, the two universities focused on the potential for implementing student exchange programs and academic sharing initiatives, while also exploring cooperative models tailored to the needs of students from both institutions. BUFS also introduced its English-medium programs, opening up increased opportunities for DUE students to participate in international education.

Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh shared his perspective on cooperation opportunities.

Representatives from BUFS noted their experience in working with numerous international partners and expressed readiness to coordinate the design of short-term programs that meet the needs of DUE students.

One proposal discussed was the development of short-term study programs in South Korea, combining academic learning, cultural experiences, and field trips. According to the discussion, these programs could last from 10 to 14 days, allowing students to experience the Korean educational and cultural environment and gain a deeper understanding of local universities and businesses.

Both sides also agreed to continue discussions on organizing cooperation programs for specific groups, prioritizing practical activities with strong student appeal.
