Opening Ceremony of the Training of Trainers Program on Innovative Startup Education

On June 4, 2026, the University of Economics, in collaboration with the Business Forum Magazine, inaugurated the Training of Trainers (TOT) Program on Innovative Startup Education. The initiative aims to enhance the capacity of educators and to foster the entrepreneurial spirit within the education system, governmental agencies, and the startup support community.
The course is organized within the framework of the National Startup Program, directed by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) since 2002. It also contributes to the implementation of the “Support for Student Entrepreneurship 2026 - 2035” Program, as stipulated in Decision No. 336/QĐ-TTg by the Prime Minister.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University of Economics – University of Danang, emphasized that developing a core team of trainers is essential for building a sustainable innovative startup ecosystem. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, educators are not only responsible for disseminating knowledge but also serve as mentors, advisors, and sources of inspiration for the next generation of entrepreneurs, especially as the digital economy and innovation become driving forces of growth.

Mr. Vo Duc Anh, Deputy Director of the Danang Innovation Startup Support Center (DISSC), underscored that the city consistently regards the development of high-quality human resources as a core factor in promoting the innovation ecosystem. He asserted that the program would help connect educational institutions, government agencies, and the business community, thereby laying the groundwork for more comprehensive and in-depth innovative startup activities in the locality.

Mr. Truong Thanh Hung, Director of Finno Group, Innovation Startup Coach (IPP Coach), and Vice Chairman of the National Innovation Startup Advisory Council (VSMA), stated that training trainers is a foundational solution for developing the startup ecosystem. He noted that, rather than focusing solely on supporting individual projects, equipping trainers with mindset, methodologies, tools, and coaching skills will generate a broader and more sustainable ripple effect.

According to the agenda, the training program runs from June 4 to June 7, 2026, focusing on key topics such as: entrepreneurial mindset, customer discovery, market size assessment, value proposition development, design thinking, lean startup, business model canvas (BMC), fundraising skills, and project mentoring activities. The curriculum is designed to be practice-oriented, enabling participants to effectively deliver training and support startup projects at their respective organizations.

Participants include lecturers from the University of Economics, high school teachers, officials from government agencies, local organizations, representatives from startup support centers in various provinces and cities, as well as prominent entrepreneurs in Danang.

Through this initiative, it is expected that a network of capable and professionally trained core trainers will gradually be established, thereby boosting innovative startup activities within schools, the community, and businesses, and meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in the new development phase.
