On August 31, 2025, the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary of establishment and development (1975 - 2025). The event was an occasion to express gratitude to generations of teachers, staff, alumni, and partners who have contributed to and accompanied the Faculty’s growth over the past half-century.
Dr. Hoang Thi Thanh Ha, Dean of the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics, extended deep gratitude to previous generations while emphasizing the Faculty’s development direction: integrating theory with practice and expanding collaborations with agencies and businesses to help students hone their skills, gain early exposure to professional environments, and build sustainable competitive advantages.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Chairwoman of the University Council, and Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice Rector, presented flowers to congratulate the Faculty.
Over 50 years of establishment and development, the Faculty currently has 27 staff and lecturers, including 15 PhDs and many enthusiastic young lecturers. The Faculty is responsible for undergraduate and master’s degree programs in two fields: Economic Statistics and Management Information Systems, with an annual enrollment of approximately 270 undergraduate students and 30 master’s students. Notably, both undergraduate programs have been accredited for quality under AUN-QA standards and the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In the upcoming period, the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics will continue to assert its pioneering role with the following key directions:
- Promote research and application of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and optimization of management in economic and business fields.
- Take a leading role in enhancing digital transformation in training management, student support, and the development of digital learning materials.
- Expand international and interdisciplinary collaborations to innovate teaching content, lead digital transformation and artificial intelligence modules, and integrate digital technology into coursework.
- Develop flexible, short-term training programs on AI, digital technology, and data analysis skills to meet the practical needs of businesses and society.
- Continue investing in faculty development, modern textbooks, materials, and equipment to achieve the goal of training high-quality human resources capable of quickly adapting to the global environment.
With a spirit of unity, intelligence, and ambition, along with the support of generations of alumni and the broader community, the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics will continue to affirm its position as a reputable, pioneering institution in training and research in the fields of Statistics and Management Information Systems.
