University of Economics’ Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2024-2025 Academic Year: A Platform for Knowledge and a Launchpad for Talent

On the morning of June 12, 2025, the University of Economics solemnly held the Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2024-2025 academic year. This year’s conference showcased 35 outstanding research projects selected from nearly 270 submissions at the faculty level. This scale marks a significant growth in the scientific research movement within the University and clearly demonstrates the students’ passion for exploring knowledge.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Deputy Director of the University of Da Nang (UDN), and Dr. Huynh Minh Son, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs, Business Relations, and Communications Department, attended and highly praised the quality of the conference.
Representing the University of Economics were Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Party Committee Secretary and Chair of the University Council, and Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector, along with leaders of various faculties, departments, and a large number of lecturers and students.
In the opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh emphasized: “The Student Scientific Research Conference is a prestigious academic platform that contributes to discovering and nurturing talent, promoting students’ critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and fostering their passion for in-depth scientific research".

The following outstanding research projects were selected and honored by the specialized panels at the conference.
First Prize:
- Research: “Whispers that Sell: Investigating the Effects of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) Advertising on Consumer Purchase Intentions in Multinational Fast Food Companies in Vietnam” by the student group: Nguyen Hai Ly, Truong Le Tinh Giang, Nguyen Thi My Tam, Do Huong Thuy, under the guidance of Dr. Phung Nam Phuong.
- Research: “From ‘Brown’ to ‘Green’ - The Relationship between Green Human Resource Management and Green Innovation Behavior, the Mediating Role of Green Psychological Climate, Green Organizational Identity, and Confidence in Green Creativity Capacity - A Study in the Banking Sector in Vietnam” by the student group: Tran Anh Dao, Nguyen Thi Thu Na, under the guidance of Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh.
- Research: “CSR Disclosure in Vietnamese Unlisted Public Companies: Practices, Determinants, and Economic Consequences” by the student group: Huynh Bao Duyen, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Thi Linh, Tran Thi Thanh Thao, under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Huu Cuong.
- Research: “Religiosity and Innovation: Evidence from Small and Medium Enterprises around the World” by the student group: Do Minh Anh, Pham Thi My Dung, Bui Tran Quang Huy, Nguyen Tran Tan Phuong, Nguyen Thi Hong Ha, under the guidance of Dr. Ho Thi Hai Ly.
- Research: “ReAct Meets RAG: A Multi-Tool Vietnamese-English AI Agent for Natural Language Interaction in Computer Science Research” by the student group: Le Ngoc Quan, Bui Minh Hieu, under the guidance of Master Tran Van Loc.
Second Prize:
- Research: “‘Beauty and the Pet’: Exploring the Magical Power of Influencer Marketing to Enhance Customer Engagement” by the student group: Le Tran Tien, Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Doan Thi Kieu Linh, Pham Hoan Kim Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, under the guidance of Dr. Tran Trieu Khai.
- Research: “How Realism, Imagination, and Embodied Co-presence Shape Consumer Response? A Comprehensive Framework for Game-Based Metaverse” by the student group: Tran Hoang Nha Quynh, Tran Quoc Khanh, Le Hong Bao Ngoc, under the guidance of Dr. Truong Dinh Quoc Bao.
- Research: “The Liquidity Effect of ESG Performance: An International Analysis” by student Le Nguyen Linh Giang, under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Dang Tung Lam.
- Research: “From Energy Poverty to Healthcare Expenditure Burden: A Case Study of Households in Vietnam” by the student group: Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong, Le Phuong Thao, Ha Thi My Tien, Pham Thi Thu Thuy, under the guidance of Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo.
- Research: “Application of Artificial Intelligence: Developing AdmitChatBot to Support University Admission Counseling” by the student group: Tran Hoang Nhat, Nguyen Do Anh Như, under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Thi Uyen Nhi.
Third Prize:
- Research: “Factors Influencing the Intention to Purchase Sustainable Fashion among Students in Da Nang” by the student group: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diem, Nguyen Thi Kieu, Phan Thi Thao Ngan, Nguyen Thi Thuy Trinh, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Nguyen Truong Son.
- Research: “Shaping Future Careers: The Impact of Experiential Learning and Artificial Intelligence on Career Intentions of Hospitality and Tourism Students” by the student group: Bui Thi Hai Yen, Tran Van Cong Son, Nguyen Phan Cam Tien, Nguyen Thi Thao Quyen, under the guidance of Dr. Vo Thi Quynh Nga.
- Research: “The Impact of Financial Literacy on Digital Banking Usage Behavior in Vietnam” by the student group: Duong Thi Kim Ty, Pham Chi Vy, Le Minh Quan, Phan Thi Thu Huyen, Hoang Thi Quynh Nhu, under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Thieu Quang.
- Research: “Cryptocurrency Regulations: International Experiences and Lessons for Vietnam” by the student group: Dinh Duc Hung, Phan Quang Vu, Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen, Le Thi Thao Linh, Le Thi Hong Anh, under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Hoang Duy Linh.
- Research: “Building a Personalized Learning Support System, Essay-Based Testing, and Oral Examinations Using an AI Platform” by the student group: Le Anh Tuan, Nguyen Van Quang, Dinh Sy Quoc Doanh, Pham Huynh Bao Phuong, under the guidance of Master Nguyen Thanh Thuy.
- Research: “Combating Cyber Money Laundering - International Experience and Suggestions for Vietnam” by the student group: Nguyen Anh Quan, Do Le Van To, Nguyen Dieu Thao, Truong Van Hai, Nguyen Thi Tra My, under the guidance of Master Do Tran Ha Linh.
During the conference, the University also recognized students who won scientific research awards in 2024, acknowledging their impressive achievements at national, regional, and city levels, including:
National Awards:
- 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, and 2 Encouragement Awards at the 2024 Science and Technology Award for Students in Higher Education Institutions.
- 1 Third Prize at the 25th Eureka Student Scientific Research Award 2024.
- 1 Third Prize at the 2024 National Econometrics and Applications Olympiad.
City and Regional Awards:
- 1 First Prize and 2 Third Prizes at the 2024 Da Nang City Student Scientific Research Award.
- 1 First Prize and 1 Encouragement Award at the 2024 University of Da Nang Student Scientific Research Award.
- 1 First Prize (Best Paper Award) at the International Conference on Student Scientific Research in Economics and Business Universities (SR-ICYREB 2024).

To comprehensively develop students’ research capabilities, the University of Economics is committed to increasing investment in research and training infrastructure. In the near future, the University will strengthen connections with businesses to provide students with practical research opportunities, organize training courses on effective research methodologies, and invest in developing scientific infrastructure and resources such as the FiinPro data system, Turnitin software, online libraries, practice rooms, and research labs.

The University hopes that through scientific research activities, students will gain experience, hone their critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, report-writing, and idea-presentation skills.
