22/05/2025
On the morning of May 22, 2025, the University of Economics – University of Danang welcomed nearly 100 high school students from across Danang city to participate in the real-world experiential program “Check-in DUE – Where You Belong.”
A truly memorable experience for high school students
This activity served as a bridge to help high school students explore the university environment, gain insights into the various academic programs offered by the University of Economics, and obtain a clearer perspective for future career orientation and academic path selection. Designed as an immersive, student-centered experience, the program featured a series of interactive and relatable activities.
The day began with a Campus Tour, where students were guided through the learning, research, and living spaces at DUE. From modern lecture halls and the central library to well-equipped classrooms and dynamic club activity areas, students were introduced to the campus facilities, student life, and especially the academic culture of the University of Economics.
Next, students took part in bilingual mock classes led by DUE faculty members. Covering engaging and up-to-date topics infused with practical trends and technology applications, these trial classes provided an opportunity to experience learning in majors such as International Business, Marketing, Finance – Banking, Logistics, and Human Resource Management. Acting as “university students for a day,” participants were able to better evaluate their interests and the fit of each discipline.
Highly valuable trial lessons with university lecturers
A standout feature of this year’s program was the “Mock Admissions Interview” session. Through personalized consultations, students were guided in self-assessment, personal discovery, and career orientation tailored to their strengths and societal trends. This activity not only enhanced their career awareness but also empowered them to take a more proactive role in choosing their academic paths ahead of the upcoming university entrance exams.
Students engaging directly with faculties and centers to learn about academic programs, university life, and extracurricular opportunities
Sharing after the event, many students expressed excitement and admiration for the learning environment at DUE. Tran Huyen Tran, a student from Hoa Vang High School in Danang, shared: “This was my first time experiencing a day as a university student. I was impressed by how clearly and practically the lecturers taught. The student volunteers were enthusiastic, friendly, and inspiring. I feel like I’ve found the place where I truly want to study and grow in the future.”
Through this program, the University of Economics – University of Danang continues to affirm its pioneering role in career orientation and academic guidance for students in the Central and Central Highlands regions. It also reinforces the university's commitment to building a modern, inspiring, and holistic educational environment for learners.
